When you love someone, you'd do anything to protect that person. You'd fight for them, and fight for the future that's coming.
That is what Jay always taught Louis. She taught him to fight and to keep fighting until you win, but Louis doesn't have a reason for a fight.
There isn't a need for a fight if there isn't anyone he should be fighting for.
It'd be nice to have someone, but he doesn't and he's not sure if he minded that much.
He's been getting along with Harry. He's been opening up to the lad and he's been treating him like a friend and not his teacher.
It's always going to be like that in the eyes of people. They won't care if Louis hasn't done anything to Harry, it's still wrong, but he'd like to say so otherwise.
After the detention, Harry has been bending the rules. Maybe there are reasons in which Louis won't understand, but he needs to.
Harry's been studying hard and working and trying to get himself back up, but he's been picking fights.
He's been arguing with students and with administrators who would give him a look.
There weren't any rules indicating that Harry wasn't allowed to be gay and happy, or pregnant, so it shouldn't really be a big deal to anybody.
Maybe that's how it felt. Fighting for someone you love. Harry is fighting for his baby, and himself.
He's defending his own rights and Louis looks up at him for that.
He's proud that Harry's standing up for himself, but there are just limits.
A school can only take so much excuses and special treatment.
Unfortunately, Harry's luck was running out.
The lad was seated in the office again. He didn't seem bothered by it as he was picking on his nails as if he'd own the place.
"Harry," Mr. Carter called out again.
"We can't be having this conversation over and over again."
Harry looked up, "that's your choice, sir."
Mr. Carter sighed, "have you've been going to the services lately?"
"Maybe that's just what you need. You need to speak with god and feel that he's there for you."
"There for me?" Harry scoffed, "there for me when my whole family left me alone?"
"That was the devil taking over your body, son. You had no idea what you were do-"
"Don't you dare call my actions an act of the devil. I've gotten a baby out of that act and hating a baby--hating in general is a sin," Harry sneered.
"We aren't here to talk about my baby, we are here to talk about my behavior, so why don't we leave it like that."
Mr. Carter slumped back at his seat and groans.
"I've been patient with you, son. I've been giving you warnings and consequences, but that doesn't seem to help. So we are going to do this."
"You are to get out of this school for three days because you are suspended. I want a letter of apology to Mr. Shaw and it has to be appropriate," Mr. Carter said.
Harry crossed his arms, "if I don't write that letter?"
"Then you won't come back."
Harry scooted back from his chair and got up.
