The way life works is that you never always get your way. You can be doing everything right. You can be eating properly, keeping up with your hygiene, doing everything in your power to stay healthy and clean, but you get sick.

The thing is, Louis has been experiencing sharp headaches for a while now. He figured it was due to the climate change and the amount of stress his job is, but that wasn't it.

Popping aspirin and making sure he was fit for the weather didn't stop the pounding and the burning feeling he had inside.

It wasn't only the headaches. His balance was always so off and his limbs often felt weak. He didn't know what was going on with him.

It's gotten so bad he took the day off and went to the doctors. Harry was at Niall's for the day, helping the lad with his drug addiction.

It didn't surprise Louis at all. He noticed Niall constantly on the edge of his seat, always snacking on something. There wasn't a day where he didn't see the lad holding some sort of food.

He pitied him. Being such a young man with a drug addiction is probably the worst feeling in the world.

Louis waited in the lobby. Other people in there, with tired faces, some with rashes on their skin, others with a broken bone. Louis hated being here.

It wasn't like he was scared, nervous is all.

"Louis Tomlinson?" A nurse called.

Louis quickly got up, ignoring the longing faces of these other sick people and made his way towards the room he was sent in.

The nurse didn't waste any time checking Louis' weight, height, ears, mouth, the normal thing any nurse would do.

When everything was set, she had told the lad that the doctor will be in at any minute to attend him. He had thanked her and was left once again in a room, silent this time.

He could hear the tv playing some old show, maybe friends, but Louis was too nervous to care.

It wasn't long until the doctor came in. He had closed the door behind him and finished up reading the folder that was given to him with Louis' medical records.

"Louis, how are you doing today?" He asked.

The lad smiled weakly, "a bit off."

The doctor hummed and checked to make sure everything was set for his examination.

"Everything seemed to look okay, what's going on?"

Louis frowned, "I've been having these sharp headaches for a while now."

The doctor listened intently to what Louis was saying and it made Louis uncomfortable.

"My arms and legs are also always so weak, I'm surprised I manage to get here alive," Louis joked.

"How's your balance?" The doctor asked.

Louis shrugged, "I don't know."

The doctor nodded, "well I may be wrong, but you are telling me the symptoms of a tumor."
