Realisation

Zoe's POV

Telling Phil would be hard, Carlie was my friend but I was closer to Phil. In a way I was helping her, She wanted to leave Phil and cared a ridiculous amount for my brother and maybe if he knew what had happened over the last few weeks he would leave her. I would welcome Carlie into our family because at the end of the day she is just following her heart and I knew how Phil can be after being his friend for a long time but for now I just had to talk to him, find out stuff that he knows and share with him what I know.

"So hows things been Phil? I saw you were alone this weekend. Where was Carlie?"

"It's a long story but me and Dan let the girls do what they want for a few days"

"What? you mean sleeping with people and stuff?"

"Well yeah, it was to test them and see what they would do with the freedom"

"And she told you everything that happened?"

"Yeah?"

"Phil, I really can't believe how okay you are with all of this? It isn't like you at all?"

"Yeah well, I took a risk and it was all fine in the end"

"Fine? You mean you don't care?"

"No, It was hard being away from her for the weekend, but knowing she stayed faithful feels amazing"

"She told you she didn't do anything?"

"Yeah, she told me she couldn't go through with anything because she cared too much"

"Phil...I hate to be the one to break it to you...but she lied!"

"What? She slept with someone and didn't tell me?"

"Yes..."

"But how do you know?"

"Because Phil... She slept with my brother"

"Joe?! She's been sleeping with Joe?! for how long?"

"I caught them out before anything happened and that was about 3 weeks ago? Trust me I wanted to tell you sooner Phil but I thought they'd stopped it!"

"My god!!! But that means...the baby..."

"Baby?! What baby?!"

"When she came home today she told me she found she was pregnant at the weekend, I asumed it was mine and started crying cause I was so happy!"

"But that would make Joe..."

"A dad"

"And that would make me..."

"An auntie..."

"Phil, The only reason I came clean to you about what I knew was because I know Carlie wanted to leave you. She's been off with you for weeks because she's saying she doesn't love you and her and Joe want to move away"

"I don't know how I feel right now, I keep thinking I want to be angry but then I think more than anything it's heartache! I've lost a friend in Joe and the girl I cared about so much has ran from my life, taking with her the child she made me believe was mine"

I saw him holding back tears but within a minute he just mentally broke down, grab his jacket and ran out quicker than you can imagine.

Carlie's POV

I was just sat there watching TV, Looking down at where a bump would appear in a matter of months. I'd just been on the phone to Joe for the last hour since Phil left talking about when we would go to brighton to look at either a small house or a big apartment, Phil had only been gone maybe an hour and a half and just as I was about to go to bed and watch a film when the door burst open, Phil was soaking wet from the rain outside, crying and emitting a feeling of rage. He walked right up to me and stared me deep in the eyes...

"Get out of here...now!"
