I woke up early to the sound of my alarm clock ticking. I got changed into my uniform and grabbed my bag. I left and walked towards her dorm.

She opened the door and yawned. Her hair was in a messy bun, her eyes could hardly stay open, her dragon was on her shoulder. I didn't dare looking anywhere else than her face because she was in a black bra and gray sweats. "Get dressed!" I pushed her back into her room and shut the door. I stood in the hall way and rubbed my eyes, this girl! She opened the door and I looked at her. She's wearing a black skirt and a white dress shirt. Her dark green vest suited her nicely. Her robe was on loosely, the dragon on her shoulder, still bare-foot. "That thing kept screeching when you left," I pointed. It hissed at me. "This is Scorpius." She smiled. "Nice name." I said. We walked to our first class, she's quite odd.

I sat in the dining hall with Vincent, Gregory, and Pansy. Everyone was here, except Smith. "Hey where's the new girl?" Vincent asked. "I don't know, but she was pretty," Gregory said. "It would be nice to have another girl around," Pansy added looking at her food. "Draco?" Vincent asked. "She's weird, like Luna Lovegood." I said. "So? She's powerful! She's pretty! And she's a girl!" Pansy pleaded. Pansy always felt strange around Vincent and Gregory, I think she needs some girl time. "Fine. I'll talk to her about joining us." I sighed. "Yay! Your the best!" Pansy smiled and hugged me. I laughed. "Finish your food, I have to go get ready for Qudditch. Today's the big match." I said. "Alright. Good luck." They said. I walked out and headed to my dorm.

I looked out to the courtyard as I saw Potter speaking with Smith. No smile on her face, but one on his. Granger and Weasley walked over to them. Smith spoke but I didn't know what she said. Then she left.

"Malfoy? Are ye even listening?" Someone said. I shook my head. "Yeah sorry Captin." I said.
I flew on my broom and quickly glanced to see Smith and Pansy talking. Smith smiled and nodded, Pansy cheered and laughed. They turned and my eyes met with Smiths pale white orbs. I suddenly got hit and started falling. "Fallen Stars!" Skylar shouted and moved her finger tips. I landed perfectly safe on my feet. I sighed of relief.

After the Quidditch match I headed to my door, but I ran into Vincent and Gregory. "Come on, we're heading to Smith's dorm." Vincent said. Things have changed in Hogwarts, for the better. "Alright," I said.

"Pansy! That's nothing!" Smith shouted as we opened the door. Pansy was on the floor holding a box while Skylar was on her trying to get the box. "Do girls fight for everything?" Vincent asked. "No! Whatever just give me it!" Skylar said. "No way, it said Love Notes!" Pansy exclaimed. Curious, I walk over and grab the box. "Hey give it back." Smith said. I opened the box to see many notes. "What's this about?" I ask annoyed. "Ever since I've gotten here guys keep writing me notes and slipping them under my door." Skylar said. She grabbed the box and burned it with her finger tips. "Now, what are you all doing here?" She asked. "We want you to join our gang!" Vincent said. "No thanks, I don't do gangs. I don't even do people." Smith said. "Please! I really want to hang out with you!" Pansy said. "Then we can hang out, but I'm not going to be apart of the gang that used to try to kill Dumbledore, or the gang of half and pure bloods, or the gang that used to help death eaters." Skylar said. I sigh, she's different from us. She knows what went on, she knows what we did, yet she's still talking to us.

"We, don't do that anymore. It's more like a gang of friends just us doing stuff." I scratched my neck awkwardly. "Then it's not a gang at all. Your all friends so it's a group of friends." Smith said. "Pansy you can come and move in here with me if you'd like." She added. "Sure! I'll be back!" Pansy said and left the room. "You three can leave now." Skylar said. We walked out and headed back to our dorm, but there was a small pain in my chest whenever I thought about that box she burned for some reason.

The next day I walked to Smith's dorm and saw she was standing outside not in uniform with her dragon. "Look who's actually up for once," I said. "Well I have to go help Hagrid with the animals for today's lesson." She said. She's wearing black shorts and a gray shirt. She's barefoot again and there's a flower crown of black roses on her head. But she is wearing her robe. "What's today's lesson?" I ask. "Dragon riding. The schools thinking of having us compete in competitions." She said. I nodded. "Well then, I'll walk you to Hagrids hut." She smiled and nodded.

"Hi Hagrid!" Smith shouted as we approached him. "Hiya Sky. Oh hello Malfoy, not causing any trouble now are ye?" He asked. I sigh, "No. That was a long time ago Hagrid." "So what. Your the same person you were before." Weasley' voice sneered and came out of the hut along with Potter and Granger. "H-h-hi Skyl-lar." Weasley stuttered. "Hello Ron, I do not appreciate you speaking to my friend in such tone." Smith said which surprised us all. "Friend?! Your friends with him!" Granger shouted. "Yes I am. So if you don't like it then shut your mouths and leave. Or if you'd like I'll do it for you." Smith said. "We rather leave." Weasley said. Potter was quiet. "Goodbye," Smith smiled and waved.

"Why'd you say that?" I ask. "Because your my friend, and I'm your friend." Smith smiled. "So let's go get the dragons. Malfoy, you can help if you'd like." Hagrid smiled for some odd reason. "It's alright I'll go get them myself. It's not that hard." Smith said. She placed her bag down in Hagrid's hut on a table. "So she's different huh." He said. I nodded, "Very different." Hagrid chuckled. "I can see you two going on many adventures with Vincent, Gregory, and Pansy. All 5 of ye will have fun." Hagrid smiled. "Hagrid, if you don't mind me asking, who exactly is she." I said. Hagrid's smile disappeared. "She's a sad story herself. She grew up in Gondoa, a small city in the muggle world. Her parents were wizards, an ordinary life you'd think. But her parents were killed in front of her when she was 6, she hasn't had any real emotions since then. She was raised by someone I can't say. She can fake a laugh and fake a smile. She's learned many tricks with her emotions. The only emotions she actually capable of controlling is her sadness. I noticed she felt pain for the first time the other day when Scorpius bit her, she's never felt pain or showed she was in pain until that day. Malfoy I think she trusts you." Hagrid said. I stood up as she waved to us, smiling. She's on a white dragon, the others following behind her. "Make sure she's alright," Hagrid said and I nodded. This girl understands us that's why she called me her friend, and stayed.
