I couldn't help but concentrate on the sound of the clock, it was distracting. If only I could break them into pieces, I would. Looking back, I've never really had violent thoughts before. Even when I was being abused by my family. It's crazy how a person can change."Ms. Sorenson." A soft voice called out to me.
Memories start to flood my brain. There was only one person who always called me by surname. But ever since, I refuse to be called by my nauseating surname.
"Can you just call me Sang?" I responded while continuing to stare at the ceiling. It was nice that I had the option of laying down, as I didn't have to see the sympathy in her eyes. I knew that she read my file. She already knew.
"Okay, Sang. Do you want to start at the beginning?" Her voice was full of pity. It was honestly bullshit. She was after all getting paid to listen. No one could understand the things that I have been through. No one was there to help me. Suddenly, I can feel my chest constricting and I was having difficulty breathing.
"Take a deep breath Sang. You can start whenever you're ready." I listened to her calming voice. My breathing was finally starting to slow down. Taking a few deep breaths to relax. I hesitantly began.
"It all started when I went to summer camp..."Closing my eyes, I try to recall everything from where it all started.
You see, I wasn't like this before. The old Sang was carefree, full of life and energy, and innocent. She believed everyone could change. Maybe my curiosity is what led me to be the person I am now. Broken and dull.
