I didn't have a very clear idea of how me and Harry had managed to get back into the Honeydukes cellar, through the tunnel, and into the castle once more. All I knew was that the return trip seemed to take no time at all, and that I hardly noticed what I was doing, because my head was still pounding with the conversation I had just heard.

I glanced at Harry from the corner of my eye, making sure he was still there. He seemed a bit dazed and emotionless, something I didn't like at all. I couldn't stand to see him like this, and I couldn't help the accusatory tone in my head as I asked the following questions:

Why had nobody ever told us - Harry, at least? Dumbledore, Hagrid, Mr. Weasley, Cornelius Fudge… why hadn't anyone ever mentioned the fact that me and Harry's parents had died because their best friend had betrayed them?

Me, Ron, Hermione, Dani, and Bonnie watched Harry nervously all through dinner, not daring to talk about what we'd overheard, because Percy was sitting close by them. When we went upstairs to the crowded common room, it was to find Fred and George had set off half a dozen Dungbombs in a fit of end-of-term high spirits. I seen Harry sneak up to his dormantory and didn't bother to stop him, I needed to give him space.

"Nixie!" George called, grinning and walking over here. "Did you make it to Hogsmeade?"

I forced a smile. "Yeah, me and Harry did. We met up with Ron, Hermione and Bonnie."

George plopped down on the seat next to me and stared at Fred, who was throwing more Dungbombs and kept glancing at Angelina Johnson and running his hand through his red hair. Angelina tried to make it not-so-obvious with glancing back at him, but anyone could see it.

"Ickle Freddiekins is in love." George whispered to me, grinning. "And it looks like Angelina feels the same way."

Danielle Johnson, who was sitting next to me and had overheard, snapped her textbook shut and stormed out of the Common Room, unnoticed by anyone but me and Hermione who quickly followed her.

"They're not a good couple," I said almost defiantly. "I doubt they would last more then two months."

George stared at me, then grinned. "Do you like my brother?"

I choked on air, flattering, I know. "What? No! I like someone else..."

As if on que, Seamus Finnigan strode by, his sandy hair slightly tossled and a little smile on his face, he was walking over to his best friend Dean Thomas.

"Nixie!" George snapped, though he sounded ammused.

"Hm?" I blinked and tore my eyes away from Seamus and onto George. He was smiling like a mad man.

"So what do you have against Angelina?" He asked, raising his eyebrows. "I wasn't aware you two had a conflict, your both really good team mates."

"Oh no," I said, shaking my head. "It has nothing to do with me. I can't tell you why - but I still like Angelina! So don't say a word to anyone."

"I wasn't..." George narrowed his eyes at me. "Who doesn't like Angelina?"

"...I can't tell you..." I shifted my seat and glanced at the girls dormantory staircase. "You'll tell Fred and Fred will know and they would both be awkward."

"Nixie-" George started in a whiney voice.

"No!" I got up and picked up my heavy books. "I have homework, George. I'll see you later."

George looked grumpy but didn't object as I strolled away from him. I really did have homewark but I wasn't leaving to do it. I needed to talk to Snuffles, right now.
