When Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dani, and I walked into the Great Hall the first thing we saw was Draco Malfoy, who seemed to be entertaining a large group of Slytherins with a story. As we passed, Malfoy did a large impression of having a swooning fit and the Slytherins laughed
"Ignore him, Harry," Hermione said, who was clutching Harry's arm. “Just ignore him, he's not worth it..."
"Why aren't you telling me to ignore him?" I asked defensively.
Hermione rolled her eyes. "Because your a girl. You shouldn't be embarrassed to faint - nor you Harry!"
"I still don't like people to think I'm fragile - like Lavender," I said grumpily.
Hermione laughed loudly at that. "Trust me, Nixie. Nobody thinks you're fragile. I heard a couple of boys wanted to ask you out, but they were scared you might rip their arm off before they got the sentence out."
I smirked triumphantly. "They better not ask me out, because I'm still waiting on Seamus..."
"Still?" Dani laughed. "Goodness, you'd think that after three years you'd be over him by now."
"Says the girl who has a crush on someone for five years," I smirked, remembering Fred Weasley.
Dani blushed, mumbled a “shut up” and skipped off to where Fred and George were sitting.
"Hey, Potter!" shrieked Pansy Parkinson, a Slytherin girl with a face like a pug. "Potter! The Dementors are coming, Potter! Woooooo!"
"Slimey, slimey Slytherins," I sang to myself, just so I could get some satisfaction out of something.
We dropped into seats at the Gryffindor table next to George Weasley.
"New third year course schedules," said George, passing them over. "What's up with you, Harry?"
"Does no one care about my pride?" I said angrily, huffing and crossing my arms. "It's like I'm invisible!"
Fred smiled widely at me and ruffled my hair, before turning his attention back to Harry, who was looking miserably at the table. I scowled and ran my fingers through the strands he unsettled.
"Malfoy," said Ron, sitting on the other side of George and glaring at the Slytherin table. George looked up in time to see Malfoy pretend to faint in terror.
"That little git," he said calmly. "He wasn't so brave when the Dementors were on our part of the train. Came running into our compartment, didn't he, Fred?"
"Nearly wet himself," Fred said, with a glare in Malfoy's direction.
"I wasn't too happy myself," George said. "Awful thing, those Dementors..."
"Sort of freeze your insides, don't they?" Fred said
