Miles 'Tails' Prower: apparently he was fighting Classic Robotnik when he was hit by a purple beam from his robot, sending him and Classic Amy into the future Dr Robotnik: do you know when he goes back? Miles 'Tails' Prower: I've dug around though some data and a time portal should be opening up nearer the end of the day because having two Sonic's and two Amy's in the same time period is messing with the timeline
