•COURTNEY•

We got to the little wooden bridge on the cliff side.

Slowly driving over it since the rain was heavy.

I wound down the window, looking out to the once dry ditch below us, which was now a river.

"Damn" I muttered as something hard hit me in the back of the head.

Next thing I knew, Olivia screamed and floored the car, sending us flying across the desolate bridge and into the side of the mountain.

The car crashed, side on into the side of the mountain.

I was dizzy and my head hurt as I forced myself forward to check on Olivia.

She passed out during the crash.
I made sure she was breathing before turning back to Shayne.

"I have no bars" he muttered as he held his phone up.

I tried to open the door beside me, hearing only a group of loud clacks and belts, but it would budge.

We thought we were in the worst possible position.
Until we heard rumbling.

"That's an earthquake!" Shayne yelled as he pulled MY towards him and held me tightly.

We felt the car shaking a lot, along with loud noises echoing through the crevasse.
The shanking got worse, having the car actually jolt with the floor.

We heard the bridge behind us jitter along with it.

And hen it finally stopped.
I opened my eyes to see Shayne on top of me, holding me tightly.

I looked up at him in awe as we laid in the back seat of Olivia's car.

We began laughing at the fact we were still alive, laughing louder and louder until we heard Olivia muttering.

"What the fuck ha-"
She was cut off by a loud rumbling noise followed by a large object falling to the front of the car, followed by smaller ones.

The sound of glass shattering, metal bending and Olivia screaming was echoing through the car.

Olivia climbed into the back as rocks and dirt slowly covered the windows and engulfed the car in itself.

We were all terrified as we listen to the sound of shit falling onto our car died.
The car was a lot weaker at this stage, and pitch black.

"What just happened" Olivia whispered, shaking beyond belief.

"Avalanche" Shayne replied.
"Earthquake + Mountain + Car isn't a good remedy"

"Are we gonna die?" She whimpered.

I held her tightly as I felt a tear come to my eyes.

"No, no we will be okay." I whispered to her.
I wasn't sure of that being a fact, but I could feel my heart in my throat and my stomach on the floor.

I was terrified.
