"Two years?" Courtney said, staring off.
"Why, why so long?"
I scraped the back of my neck thinking for a moment.
"Um..."
"Did you know he'd only be out for two years?" She turned to me.
"I.... uhh"
"Olivia..?" She sighed.
I didn't know what to say or do.. I didn't want her to be sad.
"I'm sorry.." I shrugged.
"It's not my place to tell I.. I want to tell you... but I can't" I sighed.
Courtney peered at the ground, holding back any form of pain which manifested in her thoughts.
I just.. hugged her.
"Come on" I said as I embraced her.
"We gotta get home and have a goodnight sleep if we're picking him up in the morning."
She hugged me back, agreeing.
It took a few moments to break that hug, that just broke me.
