•Shayne•
Courtney had Olivia cradled in her arms, it had been about an hour since the accident and the only light was coming from our phones.
Olivia yelled before once again trying to pry the door open.. to no avail.
"This bridge is frequently used. We will be okay" I exclaimed pulling Courtney towards me.
"Shayne, I'm scared" she whimpered.
I didn't know what to say.
I knew we were all in shock. We could hear the car slowly giving into the massive rock pile atop the car.
I feared for our lives.
I fears for the girls lives..
I knew I couldn't just sit there and let us die, if there was something I could do I'd do it.I held Courtney tighter for a moment, taking in everything I could.
Her heart beat echoed thought my mind as I gently released her and climbed into the front seat.I tried to start the car, hearing nothing but flat noise as I turned the key.
I sighed, I heard Olivia beginning to freak out in the back, starting with hyperventilation.
"Shayne!" Courtney bellowed, clearly terrified.
I thought for a moment, thinking about our current situation.. you know..
Being locked in a car.. with no access to fresh air, along with Olivia terrified and heavily breathing.
I realised I needed to act.. fast.I was starting to worry.
My brain was going one hundred miles an hour so without properly thinking this through, I kicked in the window beside me.
Probably not the smartest idea since the window opposing it was already cracked..
In the end I had the advantage, I began violently rummaging my hands through the rocks, trying to move away the smaller ones.
As my hands were thrown into the rocks, I could feel the skin on my hand tearing each throw.
After a moment I saw a crack of light forming through the rocks, I felt my heart skip a beat.
I heard the girls in the back squeak as a grin grew on my face...
Air.
