•Three Months Ago•
•Olivia•I got word the other day that I can talk my way into getting Shayne out for at least a couple years before getting shipped back off to another concrete box.
I tried my hardest for days, talking to groups of superiors.
"Not on his charges we can't" they'd say.
"Not as soon as you'd want!"Bullshit, that just don't want to try.
I eventually got through to some family friends who were willing to work.
As soon as I got the go-ahead I told Courtney."Three months?" She asked with glee.
"OHMYGODHEGETSOUTINTHREEMONTHS!?!?" She yelled as she tightly hugged me.
I had never seen her this happy before, and from all the jumping around I wouldn't have noticed she started to cry.I held her tightly, she was very.. overwhelmed at this point and the best thing for me to do was be a friend.
"Thank you, Olivia." She whimpered, wiping her eye.
"Anytime, Court." I smiled.
At that point we broke our hug and said our goodbyes."I can't wait to tell Shayne" she smiled.
•Present•
Courtney sat beside me, a calm yet happy expression on her face.
We were sitting through Shayne's hearing. This would hopefully be the last one of the papers get approved. As I went to open my suitcase to hand the papers to Shayne's Lawyer I noticed something.
Oh no..
