So many people have probably been asked this familiar question, "When did you know?" Now I'm going to talk about transgender. I remember me distinctly replying "between 9 and 10 grade." And that uncanny reply that some people had made was "What? You must be confused because Transgender people always knew when they were little."
Age doesn't matter. I have seen 60 year old people start questioning their gender and then they would transition. So, if you ever get the reply of "oh then your lying because they know when they are little" because you found out in middle/ high school or when you are older. Just know that it's OK. You know who you are and it just took a while. A lot of us had our feelings blocked by society , or severe bullying for how "weird " you are in my case, so please.
If someone who has said those things reads this. Please be kind. It just took us longer than other kids. An example is Ty Turner. An FTM youtuber.
