Chapter 3: exorcist training camp

(Lilith's p.o.v)

I hummed as I looked through the planned training camp documents that Yukio had given me. I had told Mephisto that I'd oversee the camp, considering that ever since the defeat of Satan, the order appointed both Mephisto and I as the heads of the Japanese branch. I wanted to do my own share of the work.

"The clearing they used before won't be big enough." I stated to him. We both worked from either side of his desk. He looked up from his reports and gave me the confused look he always did when I said something he believed I shouldn't know. "It's not seven students and two staff this time after all" he looked at me carefully and nodded.

"Yes, and twice the number of females have signed up to go on the camp this time. Unlike the last one, this isn't mandatory, though most of the number are our original students so we'll have to mix things up a bit" I nodded. "With this number of females though we'll need two female staff."

"That's fine."

"Lilith the only two in our branch that can go are Shura and yourself" I blinked then nodded slowly. "I'll be going for you of course, but Amaimon is going with Shiemi and I need to keep an eye on him."

A few weeks passed and the normal students left for the summer break. I stood beside Yukio and Shura waiting to leave for camp. Kai and Melvin are not coming. They chose to stay behind and keep an eye on the school for me. Mephisto was currently sat in dog form at my feet. It was hot today so I didn't blame him.

"Hey Lilith!" I smile as Ezio and Dmitri ran over. Ezio carried a large bag on his back, which most likely contained nothing but junk food.

"It's at least meant to be a nice weekend" Dmitri stated as he looked at Mephisto resting in the shade of my shadow.

As more students joined us, I was shocked to see Amaimon and Shiemi arrive with Amaimon in hamster form on her head. Most of the newer students pointed but she clearly didn't mind. I smiled as she greeted me and pointed to him.

"He's hot too?" She smiled and I see him nod. "Lucky, they can turn into animals and we're stuck like this." I see Rin roll his eyes, clearly unamused by his older brother's actions.

"Thank you all for coming today. For the next few days you're all going on a training camp that should improve your team work and demon diction skills. Helping me with this camp is Miss Kirigakure." Shura waved. "-And Lord and Lady Pheles." it wasn't until after the battle with Satan did Yukio finally give in and start calling me Mrs or Lady Pheles. I waved, having picked Mephisto up with one arm, and smiled at them. I see Mephisto wave his paw slightly, half dazed. It wasn't common knowledge that he's a demon king but it was that he is a demon. "Are there any questions before we all get on the bus?"

A blond-haired girl, a wannabe dragoon by the name of Miyako, put her hand up and spoke.

"Why is the director in that form and we're missing someone" Yukio looked to me as the girl spoke.

"He's hot. When in this form, the heat affects him less, considering this form is a dog that might seem confusing but he swears blind its cooler in this form. As for missing someone, my brother is small, your class mate and Shiemi's second familiar, is the hamster that's now on Shiemi's shoulder." Everyone blinked and Amaimon jumped down in a puff of green smoke. He returned to normal, in his usual clothes, though not his uniform. He huffed and shielded his eyes from the light. They both didn't want anybody knowing they could talk in animal form.
