Chapter 4: Lilith's Birthday.

Hello Readers,

Before you question this chapter Lilith's (my OC) official character birthday is February 27th. I didn't post this sooner since I felt I should wait until at least 26th (since that's the date the chapter starts) to post it. So yes and her age is 19.

(Lilith's p.o.v)

I sighed as I looked up at the board that stated the train time tables. I had been dragged out shopping with Shima and Shiemi. "They said it'll be good practice for you being around students and others our age. When you walk alone, you often avoid people and that won't help". I still hate crowds and figured I always would.

"Thanks for coming with us today, Shima." yes, it had been Shiemi's idea; considering she also used to be bad with crowds. I was shocked too.

"Not a problem. Amaimon and Sir Pheles would have gone crazy if you both went alone. Considering who I am, I was the perfect choice. If you ask me, it's a demon mate day out." Shima really has taken to being Rin's 'Princess' Rather well. Mephisto can't explain why Rin has a male partner but it could be because he's half demon. "Sir Pheles is gonna love your new phone charm, Lilith." Shima was just teasing but I knew he was right. I looked to my pink flip phone that Mephisto had bought me. strangely smart phones here are not popular. go figure, with the new Mephisto Dog phone charm. It was cute and fluffy so I'll give them that much.

"...Or he'll be mildly insulted" I shrugged as I spoke. "Amaimon might not like the hamster plushie more than Mephisto might not like this". Shiemi pouted, hugging her new large green hamster plushie. I have no idea if the maker had seen Amaimon, in hamster form, running around or not but it was almost an exact match, just bigger. "He won't rip it" I said, chuckling at her pout and looking back to the board that stated our train would be coming in a few minutes. "Our demons would never do a thing that would make us cry."

(Mephisto's p.o.v)

I hummed as I washed my hands to make dinner for my lover for a change. After all, she had been out all day and tomorrow is her birthday.

"Aniue, Nee-chan doesn't like you going in the kitchen" I sighed as Amaimon spoke up. I look round to him. He hung from the lights, looking very bored.

"That's when she's cooking. Now, be a good little brother and go away" he pouted and moved the lolly in his mouth.

"Shiemi told me to stay with you 'till she gets home and Nee-chan has yelled at you countless times not to cook. I think she knows what happened to little brother when you cooked for them"

"That's Coz I was making demon food. of course, a half demon wouldn't be able to stomach it. I am a fabulous cook"

"Yeah, that's why we always used to eat take outs or instant noodles, not Coz you poisoned me" I just turned away from him pulling out one of Lilith's cook books. "Why are you so intent of cooking? Wouldn't you normally just summon food?"

"I want to make tonight special." I hear the thud that tells me he jumped down and is now on the floor.

"Is tonight meant to be special?" I look at him over my shoulder. He leaned over the counter and looked at me closely.

"Tomorrow is Lilith's birthday." his eyes widen slightly. To demons, our own birthdays are boring. however, our mate's birthdays are a completely different thing. For me, Lilith's birthday is the most important day. It's the day I finally found my reason to live. I remember her birth very clearly. I wasn't there, but when they first put her to sleep, I was drawn to the glass room. I couldn't believe my eyes as I looked at the beautiful baby in the crib. She was fast asleep, even in what for her should have been her dream. I couldn't help but stand there and watch. To see her grow up and now forever be in my arms was a blessing and I just wanted to celebrate the day she came into my life, the day I at last found hope.
