Valentine's Day Special

Okay I'm going to be honest here, I didn't actually expect to post this ... Editor just kinda dropped the boom and so this hasn't been checked by Fluffy... So I hope you guys think it's okay.

Anyway enjoy this special chapter, this is a holiday special so doesn't effect the main story to much.

(Lilith's p.o.v)

Why can't it be simple... in the UK we don't have white day... I don't even understand the differences.

"I'll have to teach and explain it to you~" Renzo looks pleased as he states this to me and Shiemi. We are on one of our 'Demon mates only' shopping trips. To be fair it is nice to be away from Mephy clinging onto me for a while. "Okay so there are two types of chocolates girls give on Valentine's Day. There is the one you give close friends and bosses and such, which is called Giri-Choco. Giri means obligation by the way Lilith" I nodded as Renzo moved closer to me and Shiemi on the bus, a large group of people getting on. "The other kind is called Honmei-Choco. This is the one you give to boyfriends, lovers and husbands."

"The Honmei-Choco is meant to be homemade right?" I ask, trying to shake off the group of boys staring at us most likely due to our topic choice.

"Not always though a lot of girls like making it because that means its true love since they made it themselves." I nodded at his comment.

"It is easier back in the UK..."

"It's just one day in England right?" I nodded at Shiemi's question.

"Well you are lucky because I'm going to explain white day now. It's on March 14th, one month after Valentine's Day. On white day men give return gifts to the girls that gave them chocolate, usually if they return their feelings or friend chocolate. Usually the chocolate is white chocolate thanks to the name of the holiday but some guys give other presents too, like flowers and other candies." I nodded.

"So are you going to make Sir Pheles something homemade? He does love chocolate, I was thinking of making Amaimon chocolate covered candies since he likes candy more than chocolate." I nodded at Shiemi.

"I'm still unsure if he will do white day or will just do it the way I'm used to. He is German after all..."

"Sir has lived in Japan for a long time and it's pretty clear he loves the Japanese culture ..." Renzo chuckled a little.

"So... how does it work for you and Rin?" Renzo went bright red. He looked aside.

"We actually haven't spoken about it..." I nodded and was glad we couldn't keep talking since we had arrived at our stop.

As we walk around I get some new clothes and stuff but blink seeing a chocolate making set. It wasn't like I hadn't made chocolate before... I just haven't got the stuff to make it here all my old cooking stuff is still back at Kai's original comic store.

"Are you thinking of buying it?" I nodded and took the set down. It came with some chocolates but I knew for Mephisto I would need more. "What is Sir Pheles' favourite chocolate anyway?" I blushed. I didn't actually know. He has never told me. I've seen him eat all types of chocolate but never actually thought of asking him what one is his favourite.


(Mephisto's p.o.v)

I sighed lying on the sofa. I was bored but every time I try to play some kind of game my mind wonders. I stare at the calendar wondering if Lilith had planned to go shopping without me because Tuesday is Valentine's Day.

"This isn't like you Aniue..." I turn my head to Amaimon, currently playing hyrule warriors on my Wii u.

"I'm just thinking..." I sighed and looked to the ceiling. "Maybe I should go buy Lilith a gift for Valentine's Day."

"Isn't it girls that give on Valentine's Day?" I look to Amaimon who looked very confused. "And Men give on white day... Rin-Nii explained it to me."

"Well yes that is how it works in Japan but Lilith isn't Japanese and she has never celebrated Valentine's Day in Japan before. Where she is from both men and woman give presents on the same day."

"Hmm but wouldn't she follow the Japanese way since she is in Japan?" I sighed, unable to answer his question since the same one was going round my own mind.  I didn't want to disappoint or upset her by not getting her anything, since that is the custom she is use too.

"If I ask her she'll get mad at me for assuming we will be doing a Christin holiday ..." I mumbled allowing my phone to drop to the floor.

"Maybe ask Oi-San" I blinked, ask Kai? Would Nephew really be able to help?

"Yeah... I'll call him..." I sat up and blinked seeing mine and Amaimon's snack supply is low. "And maybe ask Lilith to pick up some more snacks why she is out..." I pick up my phone and quickly text her asking her to buy more snacks and that I hope she is having fun.

I chose to leave the room in order to call Kai, better than having Link in the back ground. As I close the door my phone buzzes. I look at it and smile, she texted me back.

'Sure I can get more snacks for you and Amaimon. What chocolate do you want me to grab and what crisps? Amaimon is good for Candy right?'

I asked for snacks, why would she be asking me what chocolate I want unless she is currently chocolate shopping for Valentine's Day! What a creative way to ask me since she has never asked before what my favourite is.

'Amaimon is low on candy so buy more of that too please Xxx As for crisps any you can grab will be fine. Chocolate well could I have mint or orange flavoured?'

I smiled after sending the text. I will still call Kai but at least I know we will be celebrating it, in some form. I already know the perfect chocolate to buy her, Dark chocolate with strawberry filling. I know if we do white day I'm meant to give white chocolate but that stuff gives my love a headache so I'll just do her favourite.

(Outside p.o.v)
-Kai and Mephisto's phone call, Bold Kai, normal Mephisto-

"Okay, what do you want, Mephisto? Melvin is locked in his box."

"Oh no... actually Nephew, I was calling you for advice..."

"Advice about what?"

"Well today is the 11th of February... I was wondering does Lilith celebrate Valentine's Day?"

- Later that evening    -

Lilith smiled thankfully when Rin offered to let her use the dorms kitchen to make chocolates for Mephisto. Chocolates are not the only thing she has bought for him but she wanted to do these homemade.

"Have you made chocolates before?" Rin asked her holding out an apron, since he would be making his own why she did hers, using the cover of helping her to hide what he is up to.

"Once but that was a few years ago. I think Renzo will be surprised your making these for him." Rin blushed and she chose not to tease him. "Though I've never made flavoured chocolates before... just dark..."

"We will do fine. Don't worry I think no matter what you do for him that clown will love it." She blushed at Rin's comment. "He is after all creepily devoted to you..."

Rin and Lilith spent a while making the chocolates. 'They came out really well, Rin's talent is amazing.' She though before blushing as she thought how Mephisto might react to getting these, as she places the small chocolate hearts into their pink box. She held the white ribbon between her fingers, slightly fearful this wouldn't be enough.

"Hey don't feel worried he won't like them" She looks round to Kai. He smiled kindly as he entered the kitchen. "I was watching you and Rin work from the canteen. You really worked hard. It's something I haven't seen you do for a while now."

"Well... If I want chocolates on white day I have to make this special right..." her cheeks hearted up as she spoke, causing her face to go a soft pink. "Though I am more worried if he will like them..."

"To be honest I don't think he expects you to hand make them. Once he finds out you did I think he'll most likely behave like a fool in love, though he already kind of does that anyway..." Kai smiled as he stood beside her. "Don't worry so much. If you keep worrying you'll get wrinkles." This causes her to laugh, her fears melting away.


- Valentine's day    -

Lilith blushed as she made breakfast. Mephisto sat at the table reading the paper, a slight blush on his cheeks. She hummed as she placed before him the heart shaped pancakes she had made, covered in syrup, whip cream and strawberries.

"Oh my theses look fantastic!" Mephisto quickly tried some and hummed happily, even for him he had to admit they tasted heavenly. "My love you have out done yourself. I don't deserve such a treat" Lilith blushed as she sat across from him, with her own smaller pile of pancakes. Mephisto finished them, savouring every mouthful. Due to this Lilith had finished before him, her cheeks bright red as she waited for him to finish eating. When he did he noticed her blush, that her eyes just gazed at the table before him and not him. "Is something wrong my love? You're blushing..."

"I...I ... Here!" she quickly placed on the table a large pink box, tied with a ribbon. "I'm going to make tea" She darted from the table before he could speak and out of earshot. Mephisto blinked and looked at the present before him.

It was larger than he had expected, or even hoped for. He had only day dreamed about her giving him a small box of chocolates then blushing as she offered to feed him them. So he was taken by surprise to see a box this big. He quickly pulled the ribbon loose and the box fell apart, revealing that it was a ginger rabbit plushie, wearing a small copy of Lilith's exorcist uniform (which now includes the Jacket he bought her for Christmas) holding a small pink box with a ribbon around it and a pink envelope. Mephisto carefully took the envelope first, pulling out the card inside. It was a simple card with a large heart on the front, on the back is a hand written message.

Mephisto dropped the card as he read the last line, his eyes wide. He never in his wildest dreams expected her to make him the chocolates herself. He blushed as he quickly took the small pink box and opened them, his heart swelled as he smelt her from the chocolates.

"You are too good for me" he carefully took one of the chocolates and placed it in his mouth. He hummed as his eyes slide closed. "These are as sweet as sin..." he chuckled at his own simile. His eyes reopen to look at the rabbit. "I think you are the first plushie she's given me..." Mephisto put the lid back on the chocolates and picked up the rabbit, he couldn't help but smile at how soft it feels, the silky fur and the heavy scent of Lilith. "Did she make you too?" he sniffed it and sighed. "I have such a lovely wife." He was tearful. He couldn't believe he hadn't noticed her making this rabbit or the chocolates.

Lilith blushed, having heard and seen everything. She slowly made her way in; Mephisto looked up, still hugging the rabbit.

"I made some rose tea..." Mephisto smiled brightly.

"Sounds lovely, thank you Lilith, She is beautiful and the chocolates are sinfully delicious." Lilith couldn't help but giggle at his choice of words. "Is that all I'm getting?" He asked blushing. She smiled and whispered in his ear. His cheeks go scarlet as she does. "Oh my... My love I believe I might be a bad influence on you..."
