All I saw was black darkness. Have I died? Was I dying? I could hear a voice. Mom? No. Alex. I started to cough. I kept coughing. Slowly I opened my eyes. My vision was blurry. I closed my eyes again.
His voice again. I kept my eyes closed. I knew there was some anger in him. I started to cry.
"You should of let me die."
"What are you talking about?"
"I wanted to die. Why did you have to save me. Why."
"Yah. Why are you saying this?"
"Because...it's true. I wanted to die. My life is over. Everything. I have nothing left..."
"Well...you have me." I started to cry when he said that. He still didn't understand.
"As in brother right?"
"Well I guess yes..but I meant..umm. We can try to work-"
I was in so much anger. I just wanted to scream.
"Oh my gosh. Can't you understand. How many times I've told you. We can't. You know that. All we are are soon to be step siblings. I've told you that. Can't you understand me?" I kept on crying harder and harder. My heart started to hurt and ache. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.
"Do you know how much pain I've been through these past couple of weeks? I've lost everything. My mom. Tommy. Now even my dad too. Nothing...nothing.." I decided to stop. I needed too. I was screaming. I was in so much pain. I rested my head down.
"I'm sorry..."
I sighed. I didn't mean to scare him or anything. I was just angry. I needed to let it out. If our parents weren't together, I would give him a chance honestly. But I just can't.
I lift ne head up. I needed to tell him I was sorry. I didn't mean to scream at him. I started to feel more pain. My heart started to ache. My back started to hurt. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to scream at you."
"Oh umm..it's okay. Uhh..you go into the tent first. I'll come in later."
I slowly walked into the tent.
The pain.
It was getting worse.
