"Emperor Kai," Torin said as our car pulled up, "ah and Princess Selene as well what a lovely surprise it is having you here." Torin and a handful of flustered looking housekeepers were on the front steps waiting for our arrival.
As we walked in, arm in arm, I had a question.
"Kai if they know we're getting married then why didn't Torin address it?"
"Maybe because I didn't tell them we are engaged.", he said with a little grin on his face.
"Kaito! What are you thinking Torin is going to kill you! Normally these things are planned and public you know? Not doing it properly is going to drive him crazy enough but not tell him? Do you have a death wish? I thought if you did you would have just married my aunt..."
Kai's face broke into a wide grin. "Ah yes being brutally murdered by my true loves aunt. Those really were the good old days."
Cinder punched him in the arm, with her nonmetal hand, and started to laugh.
"So we tell everyone at dinner tonight?"
"Sounds like a plan my liege."
"Then I shall bid you farewell until then my sweet." Kai said as he started walking away from me down the hall.
I look around confused why he walked away when I see what he was avoiding.
Sorry for the short chapter but it's really late when I posting this and I needed something to do to help me fall asleep!
