I ended up going with the lady without another word. I packed up what I was able to, left the cabin I was raised in by my father and left my memories of my dad there.
"I never caught your name, child." Sharon said.
"My name is Menna. Also I am only 14 years old." I explained to her.
"That's a weird name"
"I hate to be rude, but if you don't like it then don't talk to me." I said before passing out.
(Sharon's POV)
"Menna? Menna! Wake up!" I pulled out my cell phone and called for some help.
"Sharon what's wrong?" Jay asked me.
"Brother. I found the girl in a cabin. She is really skinny. Her name is Menna and she passed out." I explained.
"What do I need to bring?"
"Blankets, food and water."
"On it. I'll be there in less then 20 minutes." He told me and hung up.
(Jays POV)
When my sister called me I knew that something was wrong. I grabbed two blankets, basket full of food, and a couple of water bottles filled with water. I made sure that the car I ran to had enough gas to get there and back here.
I made it there under 20 minutes. I found my sister Sharon sitting on the ground next to the young girl. "Sharon. I have all that you told me to grab. Please take her belongings to the car. I'll pick her up after wrapping her in the blanket." I kneeled next to the girl, wrapped her up and carried her to the car. "I'll sit in the back seat with her." I told my sister as he got in the car and drove us back home.
(Menna's POV)
Last thing I remembered was passing out. I saw my mom and dad. They were trying to tell me something but I couldn't understand them. I signed with my hands, "What are you trying to say?"
My father signed back slowly, "Trust them. Good people. Go back to them. Be good." I woke up and couldn't hear anything at all like I lost all of my hearing. I looked around and found myself on a bed. I looked towards the door as it opened up. The person said something but couldn't read lips or hear them. I just tapped my ears and shrugged my shoulders.
