Makeup and cosmetics;

Use of makeup or other cosmetics, such as lip balm, is permissible if the relevant regulations of the Islam are observed. One of these conditions is that,we women use such things only inside our homes so that no one sees us besides a husband and a Mahram (permanently unmarriageable) men. Another condition is that such things are manufactured from pure materials or impure materials that have transformed into other materials through the manufacturing process. We as women are not permitted to go out with a face adorned with cosmetics unless veiled. Otherwise, we  become sinful. Allaah Almighty says : “{And not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their head covers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands.} [Quran 24: 31]

KOHL is a type of hidden adornment, which must be covered. As long as it is applied to improve and beautify our face. Thus, Ibn ‘Atiyyah  commenting on the verse,
{And not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof…} [Quran 24: 31]  said;

It seems to me that a woman is commanded not to expose and to try her utmost to hide any type of adornment. The exception is limited to what necessarily appears due to an inevitable movement, reforming something, etc. Whatever appears of the adornment in this way due to necessity is what is pardoned by the Sharee'ah.

Undoubtedly, a woman who goes out while having applied kohl to her eyes is in no way driven by necessity to reveal it, arguing that she cannot hide it.

Consequently, if a woman goes out with kohl applied to her eyes, this actually increases her beauty and makes her more attractive.Having known this, a woman who is visible to non-Mahram men is prohibited to apply it with greater reasons.

It is not allowed for us women to use incense{perfume} when we go out to the mosque or inside the mosque or to markets. This is because they become a temptation and attraction.It has been authentically reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he prohibited women from using any kind of perfume when leaving their house to go to the mosque or any other place. He said,

"Any woman who has incense over her should not attend the Isha Prayer with us.”

Other than all that Allah knows best😃

Javerya's mom pov.

I just came off the phone talking to Rumeisa.I just hope things go well.consumed in misery but still cleared up everything to make things normal.My daughter and I have never been close that I know.Am the strict kind of a mother agrassive and short tempered that I was never able to control.In my bid to guide her through life,I dint concede i was distancing myself from her.Life has never been easy but i still made sure she got everything she needed.Unfortunately it was not evrything.I used to hit her whenever she went wrong pouring all my frustrations on her.No wonder she adores her dad more than me.I do feel jealous but i deserved it.In her eyes i always saw fear whenever i was around her and it hurts.

Now that her dad was not there anymore,I feel remorseful for her.How will she handle the truth.Guilt and regret consumed me but it was late and I knew I needed to make amends.

Truth is,her dad has never been the hero she thinks him to be.After our divorce,its main reason being jealousy,Ahmed did not bother about us.He did not make a move to care for his daughter .To him it was like he dint have one.For six years he abandoned us and later shows up to claim over Jav.Thanx to his father who intervened and supported me then with the condition of letting him be meeting Javerya.

Since then Jav has been daddy's girl.Truth be I hid this from her not wanting to grow hatred in her heart.She is too naive and never hates anyone except for me.
