Tawbah(repentance)

(Tawbah) is a spiritual necessity in Islam. As humans, who are not infallible, we will commit sins, and we will make mistakes, even with good intentions.

There can be no sincere making of Tawbah for any sin or mistake without self-actualization, meaning that we have to first be aware that we are fallible beings, who need to take constant calculation of our intentions, thought processes and actions.

The Qur'an states (Surah Al-Hashr [59]:19):

وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ نَسُوا اللَّهَ فَأَنسَاهُمْ أَنفُسَهُمْ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

"And be not like those who forgot Allah, so He allowed them to forget themselves; these it is who are the transgressors."

If we have knowledge of self, then it enables us to see our wrongdoing, which leads towards a feeling of remorse within us if we are connected to our souls. There cannot be true Tawbah without havingremorse
Besides the characteristic of remorse, fear of earning the displeasure of Allah (SWT) is an aspect of sincere tawbah. The Qur'an says (An-Naazi'aat [79]: 40 - 41),

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ
فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ
"And as for he who fears the station of his Lord and prohibits the soul from desires, then indeed paradise will be his abode."

Sincerity in tawbah does not mean that we will become sinless for the rest of our lives or become free from error; we will not be. In fact, we may, with sincere intentions, fear committing a sin and repeat it again in the future.
Though, fear is a part of Tawbah and is based upon the knowledge that if we keep committing particular sins we may not have the opportunity to seek forgiveness for them and die in a state in which our sins outweigh our good deeds, which means entrance into hell-fire.

There is a powerful and amazing thing about tawbah(turning back to Allah).It is like a polish for the heart.What is amazing about a polish is that it does not clean it makes the object polished shinier than it was before it got dirty.If you come back to Allah and seek forgiveness and refocus your heart to Him,you have the potential to be even richer than if you'd never fallen at all.Sometimes falling and coming up gives you wisdom and makes you stronger than you never were.

Remember tears of a sinner is more beloved to Allah than the arrogance of rightous man.The sun may rise tomorrow but you may not hence REPENT TO ALLAH TODAY!!😍

Life is really not a bed of roses nothing is easy both pain sorrow and happiness are all part and parcel of it.On one hand there is happiness which never lasts and the other sorrow that follows up on evry junction in life.

A time will come when you are left feeling torn,lonely,empty and frustrated just know that its all part of your trials and tribulations.Guide your heart back to your creator who is behind evrything in your life for tranquility.

That is what I exactly did the night before Naseem's departure.Mom was nothing but sympathetic for me and I came to hate those looks to the extreme.Instead I always plastered a smile on my face though it never reached my eyes.

The following morning I woke earlier than never before.I cleaned up prayed and trodded down to Naseem's room knowing her to be awake at this time.I was sure to witness drama at this new act of mine(waking up early)from the one and only dramaqueen.

Tears clogged my eyes as I remember her leaving but I was quick to rub them off.I did not want to weaken my resolve around her because she was hurting just as much as I was.
