you sigh, locking your door, uniform slung over your shoulder.

you hang the pleated skirt and vest, and you proceed to unpack your clothes.

the day was agonizingly slow, and you haven't seen tendou.

after leaving the office, you went around the gym but it was silent.

you peaked your head inside and the lights were off and all the balls were picked up.

practice was over.

you sigh, taking out the bag of rice and measuring out the amount of food you were going to make.

your phone rings and you pick it up.

"hello?" you speak into the phone.

"hey (name), it's akaashi."

"hey akaashi, how are you?"

"i'm good, did you find your apartment safely? you haven't called your grandparents."

"oh! right, i forgot, i've been so busy! hey i visited shiratorizawa."

"ew, but did you see tendou?"

"no, i haven't seen him." you say, a pang of longing and sadness hit you. "but i might become shiratorizawa's medical assistant."

"that's great (name)! i hope you get it."

"me too, i would be able to see tendou." you say, akaashi sighing.

"i'm sorry, bukuto-san is asking for me. i have to go, goodbye (name), and don't forget to at least text your grandparents."

i walk home, the wind hitting my face.

i pass a few apartments and a small market.

"i wonder where (name) lives." i wonder out loud.

it's been such a long time since i've seen her, and if what shirabu said was true then she never forgot her promise.

i unlock the door to my parent's house.

i still lived in the same place, so if she really wanted to see me then she could've.

she must be busy.

"i'm home." i yell, to nobody in particular. my parents aren't usually home at this hour, but it still felt nice to say something.
