Mark stood by his recording setup, leaning against the wall. He scrolled through Twitter with one finger, the other hand holding the phone. He was looking for new video ideas, as he had asked his followers the previous day. He looked up from the screen and stared at the ceiling, resting his head against the sound dampening panels on the wall. It had been three days since he had made the attempt at recording with Jack, and he hadn't received a call or text since. When he reached out to Signe, she just said he wasn't feeling well. Google had been no help, listing just the Flu as what Jack had. Mark was almost certain it wasn't the flu, but he couldn't be sure.
🎶I'm everywhere~🎶
Mark looked back down and pressed the green answer button.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Mark." It was Jack. Mark pushed himself off the wall.
"Hey buddy! How you feelin', dude?"
"Not the greatest, honestly."
"Same symptoms as before?"
"Yeah." Jack let out a sigh from the other end.
"Have you gone to the doctor yet?"
"Yeah. Signe drove me over yesterday."
"And?"
"Doctor says there's nothing wrong with me! Can you imagine that?" Jack sounded agitated at the memory.
"Weird. Just get some more sleep or something. Kick that bug out of your system," Mark said.
"Im tryin'," Jack said. A distant "Seán!" filtered through. "Hey Mark, sorry. Gotta cut this short. Signe made me soup."
"All right dude. Get better," Mark said.
"You got it."
