Mark sat on a bench at the airport, swinging a leg out next to him and stretching one way before setting that one back on the ground and repeating the process with his other leg.
"Having fun there, Mark?" He looked up and saw Jack's pale face staring down at him, bright green hair in front of brilliant blue eyes.
"You bet," Mark replied, standing up. "Did Signe come with?"
"Nah. She had some stuff she had to do."
"Just the two of us then. Hopefully the LA sun will help knock out whatever you caught."
"Yeah." Jack fiddled around with the button on one of his two suitcases.
"Let's get going, then," Mark said. "Here, let me.." He grabbed one of the suitcases by its handle and started to pull it behind him as the pair walked toward the exit and towards Mark's car.
"Definitely warmer here than in Ireland," Jack said, looking around at the cars and trucks in the parking lot.
"Probably, yeah. Drier too I bet," Mark replied, also looking around, but to find his car. He stuck his hand in his pocket and pulled out his keys, pressing the Unlock button. A distant beep was heard. He continued to press it a few more times until they finally reached it.
"Should I toss my stuff in the back or in the trunk?"
"Trunk is fine," Mark said, opening the door and climbing in before opening the trunk and starting the car. He could hear the shuffling of baggage being moved before the slam of the falling trunk. Jack opened the Passenger door and hopped it, shutting the door behind him. Mark shut his too and put the car in reverse before setting it to drive and making his way out of the parking lot. They were headed to Mark's house.
