The next following day, I neglected to reply to Justin, after being over with him for two years. I did not want to hear anything he had to say. He broke me and it took me a year to get back on my feet. I have not had the tendency to begin another relationship right now because I was anxious. What if I'm taken for granted again? There were a lot of things running through my mind like a buzzing fly that would not leave you alone for 30 seconds.

Today was the day of Elizabeth's parents funeral. It is so devastating and I even looked up to them like my own. I miss them so dearly, but let God take them to a better place. I hesitated, grabbing my underwear garments and heading to the bathroom.

After showering, I walk out the bathroom with only my undies and matching light pink bra with black lace. I avoid the dinging coming from my phone because I knew it only Justin.

After I applied light makeup, I put my dark brown hair into a high, messy bun with a few strands left out.

Finally, I slide into my black fitted knee-length lace dress and black stilettos.

There was a knock at the door and it was John telling me it's time to go. I grab my phone, and my clutch closing my bedroom door behind me, locking it.

I meet my fellow friends at the front door with Elizabeth in an identical dress but wearing flats instead. She's more classy than me!

Oh, I forgot she's pregnant, which Jonathan is not aware of.

The funeral went well and when it was time for the reception. We all headed to Elizabeth's aunt's house with her niece in the back seat. Her name was Jocelyn. She was Elizabeth's sister's daughter on her mother's side of the family. Jocelyn and I talk about dolls and what she got for her birthday three months ago. She is an adorable little girl. She is 8 years old smart as ever. But I hoped getting her mind off of the funeral would help a little.

John pulled up to Elizabeth's aunt's house parking parallel. I could never get it right because I am terrible at it. I almost killed me and Lizzy both when we came to a situation with me trying to parallel park.

We all walk in, greeting each and everybody. That is until Elizabeth pulls me with her mumbling "There is someone you need to see, it has been a while." I was so confused, who is she talking about?

That is when everything in my body turns into stone. My blood stops pumping, and the adrenaline rush swooshing through me. My eyes feel like they're going to roll at the back of my head like I am possessed.

There he is Dylan Taylor. My very first high school crush. I never mentioned it to Elizabeth. Why? Because that is her brother; adopted but still her brother. I had to keep my distance from Dylan. He is so gorgeous in so many unexplainable ways. His brown hair styled with perfection and in a small quiff like the style. Dylan's eyes were also memorizing. The color of brownies but touched with caramel in the lighting and gold in the sun; sometimes his eyes had a tint of emerald green when he was angry or upset.

Dylan's skin was tan, not bohemian, but just enough for him to glow with light. His smile that could make a girl die, had me when we were in middle school originally. But the crush didn't get real for me until high school when I didn't want to like someone else.

"Anastasia." He grins, making my legs go weak. I never like the name Anastasia, but when Dylan said it, it was like music to my ears. Lizzy excuses herself to go to the bathroom. Wow, how great. Just leave me here to die with your breathtaking brother.

"Dylan," I said nervously. Why am I'm nervous? Breathe Ana, breathe. "Hi."

"H-how have you been." He stutters a little hiding his blush behind his smile.

"I'm good, and congratulations on the new baby and marriage, sorry I couldn't make it." I friendly give him a little pat on the shoulder. He smiles uncomfortably, wow Ana way to make things awkward, might as well scream about the crush you had.

"Thanks, we're doing good. Thanks for coming and supporting my sister." He gratified. I nodded when Lizzy came back into the view.

But I quickly added, "I'm here for both of you. I grew up with you as well, and they were like parents to me." He smiled sweetly.

"Now, where is my niece? Dyl?" She glares at him. He raises his hands in defense until a little dark brown haired girl about 3 ft sprints to Lizzy, hugging her legs.

Lizzy picks the little girl hugging her tight in her arms and kissing her cheeks as the little girl giggles. She looks so much like Dylan with his eyes and hair.

A younger woman walks over to Dylan and kisses his cheeks and greets his sister.

"Anastasia, this is my lovely wife Dallas. And Dallas this is mine and Elizabeth's good friend, Anastasia. We all grew up together." He introduced us.

Dallas was skinny, not even looking like she had a baby at all. I mean damn she just lost the baby fat right away. I forgot; I remember that Lizzy told me she was a model.

However, she is gorgeous with blonde hair and blue aquamarine eyes.

"Nice to meet you, I have heard so much about you." It makes me smiles that Dylan still thinks of me. But there was something about his wife that I couldn't pinpoint.

After two hours, it was time to go home for me and Lizzy. We said our goodbyes, getting in the car and going home. One thing and one person stayed on my mind the entire drive home.

And it is Dylan.

My crush who I did not dare have the confidence to say I was in love with him in high school.
