Ana
There he was, my Prince charming. He spots me without a hesitation and starts speed walking to my destination.
He sits between me and Lizzy. After giving John a bro hug and giving his sister a hug and a kiss on a cheek. He kisses me lightly on my right cheek to greet me. My legs went to jelly. What is he doing to me?
It's probably because he thinks of me as a sister, obviously.
"What another pleasant surprise again, aye." I pinch the bridge of my nose annoyed. Dylan laughs hysterically at my humor.
"Yes! We came to surprise you and celebrate two things." Elizabeth said taking a sip of her water.
"That will be?" I fumble with my fingers. Liz knew I was getting nervous. She smirks and looked away.
"Liz that will be?" I said again this time a bit irritated because for one she is doing this on purpose. And she knows how I feel for Dylan but he doesn't even know it.
"My pregnancy! and you're back to your old life living the majority of your dream when you were a kid!" She exclaimed.
"Okay and-"
"Oh, you did take my advice." Dylan cuts me off smirking. Lizzy threw a small ice cube at him as he jumps up wiping off his clothes and tries to locate the ice.
He spots it and grabs it out of his shirt. God, I would love to go in his shirt to find something better.
Ana chill.
I shake it off and joined them in laughter. I was called into the back for some particular reason and I wonder off also telling them to enjoy themselves and it's on me.
*******
I solved the conflict, which was apparently the olives and someone not being able to find them, running back to the floor and only spotting Dylan sitting alone by himself. I sat in the chair beside him. I startled him a bit to make him drop his phone.
"Holy shit, Ana." He holds his chest like he was faking a heart attack.
"I'm sorry, but where are John and Liz?" I ask.
"Oh, they went home early because Liz was not feeling good." He answered honestly.
There was a comfortable silence between us; something I was getting accustomed too by now. That is until I ask something incredibly stupid and it being none of my business.
"How are you and Dallas?" He moves uncomfortably, not being a fan of Dallas.
"Good..and Lelia is fine too thanks for asking." He said nervously.
"Oh, I almost forgot, when is Lelia's birthday?"
"In two more weeks." He smiles at the mention of his little girl birthday. That she is actually growing up and turning 4.
"I'm so excited, she is growing up and soon not to be Daddy's little girl after a while. When she is grown up as a young lady will be the moment everything changes." He said as a tear fell on his cheek. I wiped his tear away rubbing his back in circles.
He smiles proudly until one thing that I never thought he would mention, is brought up.
"You still with that jackass boyfriend of yours?" He questioned taking a sip of whiskey, I'm guessing.
"No. But I also had to decline going on another tour. He was going to be touring with me if I accepted the contract. And I would not take that well. Even to see him again." I said honestly with a sigh at the end.
**********
After three hours of talking to Dylan and catching up, I noticed time flies and it was time to close up. My employees clean the place as Dylan and I talk. I let Dylan know I would be back so I can go get my things and he said okay.
On my way back, I have completely forgotten that I took the bus here. And I did not feel like driving.
I meet Dylan outside as I lock up the place. We walk and talk all the way to Dylan's car until I noticed I would be waiting for a bus for two hours.
"Well, this is me." Dylan chuckles as I take a glance of his blue Jeep. It's cute and fits Dylan so well and I remembered all the rides from this car. When Lizzy and I would drive it to go from place to place. Unfortunately, Dylan used to drive a drunk Lizzy and Ana home and cover us from our parents.
"Hey, I see you have not gotten rid of this car yet." I laughed reminiscing so much about what went on in this car and the problems. Dylan had so much duck tape on many parts of this car. I laughed hysterically as I spotted the tape above the sun visor.
"No, but you know that my parents gave me this car as a graduation present. And this car reminds me of them." He bites his lip unlocking his door on the driver side.
"Yeah, I remember and I am sorry." I apologized. He hops in and starts the ignition. When he leans over rolling down the passenger window. "Besides, I love this Jeep too."
"Its alright but are you're going hop in? It's cool out here tonight." He asked.
I looked at the bus stop and then back at him. He laughs and shakes his head at me.
"You're really going ride the bus home all alone." I nodded, sighing because I really didn't want too.
He stops me, "At 2 in the morning, freezing, and the next bus comes in another hour or two." He laughs, sliding me a questioning gaze.
"Anyone can grab a young and beautiful lady that is wandering off at 2 in the morning." He smiles.
My cheeks flush red with a red nose. The things that come out his mouth is so beautiful.
"So I'm going to ask your stubborn arse again." He cocks his head to one side playfully.
"Did you really just said arse?" I said dumbfounded and laughing at him.
He frowns, getting out the driver seat and closing the door behind him. He walks to my side by grabbing my waist with my body touching his, opening the passenger door.
I turn around and sarcastically laugh at his bossiness. His eyes meet mine, as the electricity ran through us when I knew he felt it too. That is until my phone rings violently in my purse.
