Disclaimer, I do not own Barry Allen or any other characters from the tv show The Flash, which this is based off of. I only own Mara and any others that may be made later on.
I was beyond bored. It was the next day and I had nothing to do. Caitlin told me that I wasn't needed STAR Labs and I should take a day to rest, because of my concussion and my wrist. Barry was at work and Iris said she had 'stuff' to do so here I was, all alone.
I huffed and got up from my position on the couch. I headed into the kitchen and pulled out a tub of ice cream. I hadn't been alone like this for awhile, just me and my thoughts. Eventually my mind led to a certain speedy forensic assistant.
I had always liked Barry, but it wasn't until very recently that I let myself consider how much. I don't think I ever could really admit my feelings for Barry, but I know they are there. The reason I couldn't admit them? One word, Iris.
Obviously, nothing against her. Iris is my best friend and besides, who could blame him. Iris was pretty, funny, nice and smart. Sometimes I just wonder if I lack in some of those categories.
I guess today was a perfect day because I could finally have time to myself to sort out my feelings for Barry. All I know is, I have to figure it out, and fast. I don't like this whole, me being jealous of Iris thing. It's getting on my nerves.
There's just so many things to like about him. His smile, his dimples, his hair and oh my god his eyes! When he looks at me, I could just stare into those eyes forever. Not only that, but I find his dorkiness incredibly charming, and attractive.
Yep, there was no doubt about it. I may have a teeny, tiny, ity bity, crush on Barry Allen. But that's all I'll admit, no more questions paparazzi, please.

It was some time later and Caitlin had sent me a text asking me to pick up her laundry from the mall since she was busy at work with a new case. I had just arrived at the mall when I got a call from Cisco.
"A metahuman that can turn into poisonous gas? No fair! Why do I miss all the cool ones?" Cisco just finished telling me about the new metahuman they discovered this morning in a case and I was very jealous that I was sitting this one out.
"Technically this is the first one you're missing, but agreed, this is way cool." I could hear the smile in his voice. "Well as soon as I drop off Cait's dry cleaning at the house, I'm coming over there and don't try to stop me!" I end the call and put my phone in my pocket, stepping into the mall.
After I picked up Caitlin's dry cleaning, I hurried towards the elevators. I was so excited to get to STAR Labs that I didn't watch where I was going and bumped into a tall man. "Oh sorry sir." I quickly apologized and he just smirked and walked towards the elevators.
I brushed off the awkward encounter and followed after him. Just as the doors were closing, he sticks one arm in between, stopping them. He steps in and before I can follow, the door shut and the elevator starts. I roll my eyes in annoyance but wait patiently for another one.
It was taking longer than usual so in confusion I look up at the glass. I drop the clothes in my hand and gasp. The clear elevator was filled with green gas. I'm just gonna take a wild guess here and say that it's poisonous gas.
I run up to the elevator and begin pressing the open button violently, but to no avail. "No, no no no no no no, you're gonna be okay." I start to pound on the glass, as if it will magically shatter and free the woman. "Help! Somebody help her! She's stuck in there!"
A few security guards heard my pleas and rushed over. Seeing the same thing as me, they try to open the doors.
The elevator comes down and the doors open, causing the woman to topple out. I try and catch her the best I can, checking for a pulse. I sigh and run a hand though my hair, "I was too late..She's dead."
