~Alexis~
I woke up, nightmares again. I groaned as I moved my red hair away from my face, noticing it was morning. The sun hit my eyes as my owl, Scarlet, woke from her slumber. She did as she did since we got back for summer, try to get out of her cage. I groaned and laid back on my bed. My Gryffindor robes and clothes were clean and ready to go into the suitcase. I got up and fixed my hair then hear a voice."Alexis?! Breakfast is ready!" I hear my Aunt Jenny. I went downstairs and saw her feeding my grandmother. "Good morning dear!" Aunt Jenny smiled at me and I kindly smiled back then started eating. "Oh! Rose called and said something about a sleepover tonight?"
"Right! Rose and I were going to have a sleepover so you didn't have to take me to train....." I bit my lip. She always wanted to take me to the train but I never let her. I was afraid my grandmother was going to do something crazy while she was gone. My grandmother went mad after I was 9, kept telling me that the darkness is coming.....I didn't understand what that meant. I sighed gently and ate my breakfast then went up to pack everything I needed for Hogwarts yet again. I got my wand and put it in my boot.
A few moments later, a horn honked in my driveway. I look out my window to see my best friend, James Potter, driving a car. James was slightly taller than me. His curly chocolate brown hair makes him look sweet and innocent. His large lens on his glasses fix perfectly on his face. His slightly cocky expression has given many of the girls in any years at Hogwarts curious about him. He has had many girlfriends but they never stuck. He has never found the girl that he wants to stay with. He always came back to me, his best friend.
I smiled and got my suitcases downstairs. Aunt Jenny and grandmother met me downstairs. Jenny hugged me and kissed my head. Then grandmother, shakily, gave me a necklace. "The Darkness is coming and only you can stop it, Gryffin-"Aunt Jenny covered her mouth.
"It's nothing." Jenny came and put the necklace around my neck. "This necklace will protect you." The necklace was the Gryffindor crest and felt like pure gold. I touched the necklace gently then looked up at her. "It's beautiful." My voice was soft and sweet like my mother's which made Jenny tear up. Jenny kissed my head then let me out of the house.
I smiled at James. "Potter."He bowed in an idiotic way, "Red." I giggled then we got into the car, he drove away from the house. We drove to Potter Manor and went inside the Potter manor. It was huge, which I would think it was before I came there. Mrs. Potter came down stairs and smiled at us.
"Hello you two." She smiled at us, lovingly. Mrs. Potter since my first year had told me so much about my mother. Well, everyone had told me about my parents. I just couldn't believe what happen to such innocent people, why would people kill my parents and let me live? I was snapped out of my trance as James led me to the couch and we talked with Mrs. Potter. She's very nice to me, which makes me feel comfortable in the Potter manor. I just loved how welcoming the Potters are...well expect Mr. Potter. He hasn't met me yet. Mr. Potter is always working when I visit, which I never quite understood.
As Ginny went to get some tea, Mr. Potter came in. I bit my lip as James stood. "Hi dad." He went and gave his father a hug. Mr. Potter smiled at his son, lovingly then his eyes went to me. I bit my lip and looked up at him. He was the same as the pictures showed him. Round glasses, bright blue eyes, and a tired look. He smiled at me, "You must be Kenna's daughter, Alexis. I'm Harry Potter." I stood and smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Potter." My voice was calm and assuring. James gave me a thumbs up when Mr. Potter and I sat down.
"You're wearing it..." I raised an eyebrow but then he pointed at the necklace. "Oh. Yes. My aunt gave it to me before we left the house.....she said it would protect me..." Mr. Potter gave Mrs. Potter a look as she came back with the tea. They both nodded then turned their attention to me.
"So is James keeping you busy?" Mrs. Potter joked. I giggled and nodded. "Yes. He tried to make Liquid Luck so he could ask out a girl..." The parents laughed as James blushed and hit me playfully. Mr. Potter smirked a bit at his son, knowing who he wanted to ask out. Mr. Potter stood and went to get something. Mrs. Potter sat by me as Harry sat by his son. He had a book with him as he opened it. The book was full of pictures. Many pictures of the potter family then he stopped at one. It was me as a baby, Harry was holding me. I smiled seeing my mother behind him, smiling at us.
"I was the third person to hold you." Harry smiled at me. "You opened your little eyes and gave me a toothless smile." I giggled a little as he chuckled.
"Oh!" Mrs. Potter turned the page, seeing a picture of James holding me with her. "James wanted to hold you by he was too little so I helped him. We heard your sweet little giggle then you fell asleep in our arms." I smiled then I checked the time. 4:30, supposed to be with Rose at five.
"Well mom, dad, we have to go meet Rose and Hugo at the pitch so Lexi can get to Rosie." James and I stood. We said our goodbyes then went to James' car. James smiled as he drove to the Quittch Pitch.
Rose was on her broom with Hugo like always during the summer. Rose ducked a hit from her brother as Hugo laughed. I giggled and got my stuff into the Weasley manor which was only across from the pitch. Mrs. Weasley smiled at me and walked me in, "Lexi! Do you remember where to go?" I nodded then went up to Rose's room.
I smiled, feeling comfortable in this room. Her room was like a Tumblr room, which is Rose's favorite Muggle site to visit. She loves seeing new things on there and asks me every time if I could bring my laptop to our sleepovers. I put my trunk by hers then saw Rose come in.
"Hi." Her hair was messy and her broom was knocked up a bit.
"What happen?! I was gone for eight minutes!" I crossed my arms and tapped my foot like her mother would do. Rose groaned and pushed me down to her bed, making us both laugh. I got up and went to her bathroom, getting everything I needed to fix her hair. I put her hair in a high ponytail then went to clean my hands as she was on my laptop.I smiled then sat by her.
"Did you hear the Scorpius got dumped again?" She asked me. I rolled my eyes, "He's always getting dumped, if he would just stay put with a girl then maybe he'll be nicer." Scorpius Malfoy hates me, but he wants to be around Rose. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. Just like any muggle girl's dream guy, but this guy is an jerk.
I looked at what Rose was doing. She was going through the pictures we took with her family and with the potter's during our summers and Christmas. I smiled softly at the one of James and me. I was kissing James' cheek and he had his eyes close, it was a summer night from a few years ago. I smiled at Rose then we kept looking at pictures and laughing.
"Girls! We are going to the Potter's for dinner!" Mrs. Weasley yelled from downstairs. Rose jumped up and ran into her walk in closet. I rolled my eyes and went in with her. "You have to wear this!" She gave me a whole outfit and I raised an eyebrow. "I picked it out for you!" Oh how this is going to be a great dinner.
