Ginny Potter the second hurries down King Cross Station, leaving her parents, Alexis and James Potter behind. Luckily, her mother, Alexis Potter caught up with her and stopped her before she could even go through the secret barrier that hides Platform 9 and 3/4. Ginny was excited to go to Hogwarts. She had always loved the stories her parents told her about Hogwarts and about their family.

"Ginny Potter! Do not run from your father and I!" Alexis scolded at her daughter, who just rolled her eyes and waited for her father. James chuckled at the two, his wife and his daughter. James met his wife's eyes giving her a look that told her to calm down. Alexis rolled her eyes then let her daughter go through the barrier. Ginny stopped and was amazed by the Hogwarts Express that was in front of her. Not long after, her parents came through hand in hand. Alexis smiled softly seeing her daughter excited to go to Hogwarts. That excitement was the same that she had as a new student, but the only difference is that Ginny had her parents there to tell her goodbye.

James looked at his wife then kissed her head. "It's alright love. She will be fine." He took his wife's hand and they met their daughter.

"Mom? Dad?" Ginny looked at them, "What if I am not a Gryffindor?" Alexis looked at James who looked at his wife. Alexis looked at her child.

"Sweetheart, it may be true, but it is not so bad. Your Uncle Albus is a Slytherin, many of your older cousins are in different houses. Your grandfather's side was made up of Slytherin, but your grandfather and I were Gryffindors. The hat will choose wisely for you, but if it still bothers you. You can tell your choice to the hat. It puts your opinion into account." Alexis smiled a little at her daughter then hugged her one last time until Christmas if she chooses to come back. James hugged Ginny then she walked off onto the train. Alexis saw flashbacks of herself but also her mother coming off the train. She didn't understand how she saw her mother, but she did. James took her hand, bringing her back to reality.

"Love," James said in a gentle voice to his wife. "It's time to let go." Alexis wiped a tear from her cheek. She watched as the train went on its way with her first child, her only daughter. She smiled a bit then James wrapped his arms around her waist and held her close.

"Do you think she will be fine?" James asked his wife.

"She's a Potter. She will have a great time." She turned to her husband. "And besides, she has been to the castle before. She will know her way around, even if that information is only a little." James smiled then kissed her forehead once more. Both adults walked hand-in-hand out of the train station and went back to their life together after all the hardships of all those years ago.
