I walked into the visitation center where Brendon would be meeting me as usual. Booth 5 i was in this time around.
Saturday visits are a lot more busier than Wednesday I realized.
Sure enough when i get to booth 5, brendon is there smiling at me. He's not wearing a suit and he still looks damn good. He's wearing glasses and a white t-shirt.
and his tattoos are showing. never saw him as the kind of guy to have tattoos.
"hello!" Brendon says cheerfully as i out the receiver up to my ears.
"hi."
"well, i'm here." he laughs awkwardly.
"yep. good to see you outside of a suit. you look good today." i say regretting what i say.
"oh, thank you." he has a slight red tint to his cheeks.
"and i like those." i say referring to his tattoos.
he looks at them, "oh, yeah. it's very unprofessional to show them so i always wear long sleeves." he smiles back at me.
"do you mind showing me them?"
"i don't have a lot." he holds up his arm. "there's a piano, that was my first one, flowers surrounding it." he flips his arm over, "and Frank Sinatra." he smiles in pride.
"you like Sinatra do you?" i ask with a slight chuckle. he nods.
"didn't know you were so musically inclined." i acknowledge.
"yes! i love music. i grew up in a really musical family so i guess it's in my blood." he shrugs.
"and you're a lawyer?" i ask with a louder chuckle this time.
he frowns, "never said i wanted to be famous Ross." he cocks an eyebrow at me and smirks.
"fair enough."
"what about you. you like music?"
"i think everyone likes music. you like Sinatra, i'm more The Beatles." i shrug.
"i like pretty much anything really."
"you play anything?"
"um i like to think i can sing, i play guitar, piano.. i could go on." he responded.
i nod, "impressive. i play guitar. well i did." i frown and sigh.
"well, once you're out you can play anything you want." he smiles to me.
"can't. when my mom died, they sold the house and all my stuff with it."
"oh.. well i have plenty of guitars at my house. you can always come by and play." he smirks.
i smile. he's offering a friendship outside of here.. something i never thought i'd have.
"i want to thank you for having me come visit you." Brendon smiles. he's got a smile that could possibly bring peace to the world.
"really?"
"yeah.. it's nice to get to know you not as your lawyer." he smiles, "plus i would have been stuck at home doing nothing all day so, thank you."
i blush in response, he actually has interest in me.
"maybe this friendship doesn't have to just be lawyer-client." he laughs and the bell signaling time is up alarms.
"oh, i guess that means i should leave then." brendon frowns, i mimic him.
"so i guess i'll see you Wednesday? last Wednesday before court." he reminds me.
i nod, "okay.. see you then."
