The first day of trial was upon me. I didn't now how to feel. Would i get out? Would i stay? all that would be determined within the next few days.
This is the first time Brendon and I would be seeing each other in person. I didn't know if i was ready or not.
i was in the prison van alone with a police officer by my side. I looked out the window at the passing trees and everything that passed.
it was early in the morning and i wasn't all together.
The court house wasn't that far from the prison, but the drive felt like hours because of how awkward everything was.
after i started dozing off in the van, i felt us park soon looking up to see the courthouse. I groan unbuckling my seatbelt to get out.
After what felt like hours of walking to the front door, we finally made it in.
"where is my lawyer?" i asked, i needed to see Brendon to keep my sanity.
"Mr. Urie is down the hall. you have 10 minutes." The guard says looking at his watch standing next to the big doors leading to the room. i nod him off and walk down the hall looking for Brendon.
and sure enough, there he is. looking as nice as ever. once he notices me he immediately smiles and walks towards me.
i've never seen him in person, he's a lot shorter than i imagine him. i want to hug him. he just looks so small and huggable, but i realize that would be unprofessional and that's not the thing to do.
but i see Brendon as more than just my lawyer. i see him as a friend.
i shake his hand and he says "hi". i respond back with a "hey". but, as if he could read my thoughts, he hugs me. i envelope him in and enjoy that hug.
"you ready?" he asks as we release. he smiled. i love his smile.
i nod, "let's do this."
we walk out of the room together heading towards the big court room.
"um, Brendon can I ask you something?" i ask hesitantly.
"what's up?"
"so, if i get out, what happens after that?"
"what do you mean?" he looks over to me.
"i mean, will i be homeless, get a job, what?"
he looks down, then back up at me, "i'm sure we'll figure something out Ryan. i'll help you thought. because to me, you're not just a client. you're my friend." he smiles as we walk in to the big court room.
this kid can read right through me. something only my mom and Spencer have been able to do.
what does he want from me?
{A/N: hello it me.
eh short chapter but oh well.
and honestly i think i'm gonna skip the whole trial because
1) i don't know how it works
and 2) i feel like it'll be really boring tbh.and i want to get to the plot quickly bc i'm excited to write about Brendon and Ryan's relationship outside!!
so after this chapter, the trial will be over and we'll find out if Ryan gets out or not ooh mystery.
don't forget to smile :D
