"now when you drop 2, that means you give up two cards of your choice to the dealer." Spencer was explaining our made up card game to Tyler. we never taught anyone else how to play this game, so he's special.

I was playing the dealer because i'm good at it. I watched from the other side of the table as Spencer demonstrates a good move to the smaller boy.

"so, Ross, how does it feel to only be in here for a few more days?" Tyler asks taking his attention away from the cards.

i look up to him, today is Saturday, my trial starts Monday.

"technically, my trial is in a few days, that doesn't necessarily mean i'll get out." i was tired of having to explain this to people, but it's not my fault people are stupid and have no common sense. I'll give Tyler slack though, because he's such a naive kid.

i gotta teach him how to work his way around here, i won't be his body guard for much longer.

"right, right." Tyler looks back at his cards and interrupts me from my thoughts. I look at the pack of cigarettes in the center of the table. that's what we're playing for.

Spencer is now snapping in my face, "Ryan, hello!" i look up to him.

"what?" i snap, if he knows me, he knows i was in deep thought. and i should never be interrupted when i'm in deep thought.

"Tyler dropped 2, you're pick." Spencer explained.

I look at the cards he placed in front of me that are face down. I look back up to them.

I stand up, "I'm kinda tired of cards right now. let's take a walk." i smile at them, seeing if they'll take me up on my offer.
they look at each other and shrug standing up.

we walk in a trio around the halls, seeing other inmates and making snarky remarks behind their backs.

we pass Trohman and Wentz and Spencer says, "I think the reason Trohman's hair is so big is because is brain crawled in there." we laugh.

it's the times like these that i'll miss when i'm out.

if i get out.

we pass by Josh, at least that's what Tyler calls him, talking to a crowd of other inmates.

"oh, hey Dun." Tyler smiled at him, Dun doesn't do much but nod.

"what's with you and him?" Spencer asks as we walk away.

Tyler shrugs, "he's a cool guy. that's about it honestly." he says it softly. he always seems soft but this time seemed.. softer?

but i don't acknowledge it, and move on with our walk and shit talk.

{A/N: hello it me.

so yes, it's early, and yes it is short.

BUT that's only because i am actually seeing tøp tonight!!!!

i'm actually in the car, on the way as i type this.
