(HAVENT READ OVER SORRY)
2 WEEKS LATER
We just got settled into our new house and all the kids seem to be adjusting well. They've been to school this whole week and havent had any problems so far so thats good. The kids are out the back in the pool cooling off cause it is absolutely boiling hot. I go out the back and Poppy is just sitting on the edge. I go and sit next to her.
"Why arent you swimming baby?"
"Luca was splashing me"
I look up at Luca "Can you please just leave her alone"
"What its a pool your face is obviously going to get splashed"
"Can you just please watch her, Im going inside to make you guys some lunch ok?"
"Fine, come on Pop I wont splash you" She smiles and then jumps in and swims around with Hallie.
I go back inside and Brandon is sitting on the bottom step and just hung up the phone.
"Everything ok babe?"
"Yeah, um I gotta go into work though"
"What! Babe its a Sunday"
"I know and Im sorry but I promise I will be home for dinner and to tuck the kids in" He says giving me a kiss and running out the door.
I sigh and make all the kids a sandwich and then call them in to eat.
"Can we go back in now?" Poppy asks
"Not yet sweetie let your food settle or you'll be sick"
"Hey mum wyatt is coming to visit next weekend for the day is that ok?" Hallie asks
"Umm I'll talk to you father but it should be ok"
"Sweet" she says running out of the room to her room.
"Mum, I need new runners for school my ones now have a hole" Luca complains
"Yeah and I need a new leo for gym all mine are getting too small" Brooklyn adds
"Ok ok just hold on a sec. You" I say looking at Luca "We will go out in about an hour to get you some new runners and you" I say looking at Brooklyn "Im sure one of your old leo's will last until next weekend"
"What! No mum its so uncomfortable"
"Well just where your kick shorts and sports bra for training, you dont have a comp until next weekend and I will get you a new one during the week"
"Argh fine"
"Can we go swimming now?" Poppy adds
I giggle "yes you can go now, Brooklyn watch her while your out there"
"Yep" she says while they run out to the pool and Hallie walks back in dressed denim shorts and a white and red striped shirt.
"Hey mum?"
"Yes Hallie"
"Why'd you say it like that?"
"Because you want something"
"Not true"
"Oh really?"
"Ok well I was wondering if I could please go to the movies this afternoon?"
"With?"
"Ryan"
I turn around from washing up the dishes "Who's Ryan?"
"A guy in my class, but mum he's just a friend and its not even a date please?"
I stand there biting my lip not knowing if Brandon would agree to this "Hal your 14"
