**Ava's POV**

The whole ride to her house, Rydel kept giggling and saying how she couldn't believe it's actually me, I laughed with her and kept agreeing.

We stepped inside and I looked around, unopened boxes were everywhere.

"Were still unpacking, sorry for the mess." Rydel said, heading into the kitchen.

I followed behind her, not sure what to say.

"Rydel who are you talking t-" Ross asked walking in, cutting himself off when he noticed me, "oh...hi" he said awkwardly,

"Call us down when dinner's done, were in Riker's room." Ross called over his shoulder walking out.

"Thanks for offering to help with dinner, your so kind." Rydel mumbled  after him sarcastically making me laugh.

"What can I help with?" I asked going to the sink and pushed up my sleeves to wash my hands.

Rydel glanced over, then looked again, staring at my arms. I looked down and realized all my scars and new cuts were showing and quickly pulled my sleeves down.

I'm used to always being home alone all the time, nobody has the chance to see my bare arms, so I forgot.

"We will talk about that later, in the meantime, start chopping up those vegetables." Rydel said, her voice soft.

I nodded and listened to everything Rydel said, and eventually dinner was done and the table was set.

"I'll be back in a minute, I'm gonna tell my brothers that dinners ready." Rydel said walking down the hallway.

I didn't know what to do so I chose a spot randomly and sat down, waiting awkwardly.

"Finally, I'm starving!" Ross said sitting down and scooping food onto his plate.

"Random girl in my house, that's my seat." Riker raised an eyebrow at me.

"Oh uh.." I trailed off.

"Just sit somewhere else Riker, it doesn't matter where you sit!" Rydel snapped, giving him a look.

He held his hands up and laughed, "damn I was only joking."

Rocky walked in and sat down, not saying a word, he just started eating, ignoring his siblings.

I started eating as well, trying to think of something to say so it wasn't so awkward, but Rydel beat me to talking.

"So you really live all by yourself, doesn't it get boring or lonely?" She asked and I thought back to all the nights I spent alone, sitting on the couch, or laying in bed wishing I had family around.

Someone to love me and take care of me, but I always went to bed to an empty house and woke up to an empty house.

"It can get pretty lonely I guess." I replied, not looking her in the eyes.

"You could always come here if you don't want to be home alone!" Rydel said excitement clear in her voice.

"Oh no, we don't need another girl in our house!" Ross spoke up.

"Ross's right, your annoying enough" Riker joined in, messing up Rydel's hair and grinned.

"You sure I'm the annoying one?" She laughed fixing her hair.

Rocky looked up and smiled at his siblings.

I got a weird feeling in my stomach, jealously. They clearly all loved each other and I wished I could have that.
