**Ava's POV**
Rydel: you okay doll?
I decided to skip school and just walk home to get ready for the party tonight.
Ava: yeah, I'm going to ditch though and get ready for the party, I'll be at your house at 4
Rydel: be safe, xo
I started the long walk home, but stopped when I heard someone calling my name.
I turned around to see Ross walking towards me and ignored him, continuing my walk.
"Where you going?" He asked walking in sync with me.
"Home, why do you care?" I snapped at him.
"Ava, I came to apologize for earlier, those guys are jerks, including my brother." Ross said bitterly.
"That doesn't stop you from hanging out with them." I replied
"All they do is bring people down for their own entertainment, it's sick and I'm done hanging around with them."
"I wish your brother thought the same way.." I mumbled, more to myself then him
"Riker? He's not a bad guy, he just doesn't make very good choices." Ross said rubbing the back of his neck.
"Whatever, thanks for apologizing, but actions speak louder than words."
Ross nodded and headed back into the school, leaving me to finish walking home alone.
I dug threw all my clothes, trying to find an outfit that looked nice, but didn't make it seem like I was trying to hard.
I decided on a ripped black skinny jeans and a white tank top, with a black jacket to cover my arms.
I heard my phone go off in my bedroom and glanced in the mirror again before walking into my room to check it.
Rydel: Hey we all decided to ditch, come over?
Ava: come get me?
Rydel: okay I'll be there soon

I raced Rydel to the door, and beat her to it, we were both laughing when we walked inside, towards the kitchen.
"People should start showing up around 8pm" Rydel said and I nodded,
"Cool, did Ratliff come over with you guys?"
"Yeah, he's hanging out with Rocky, speaking of him, are you two dating or do you like him or..?" Rydel asked trying to sound casual, but I could tell she really wanted to know.
"No he's just one of my best friends, besides he's got his eyes on someone already." I grinned.
"Chloe right? She's pretty I guess" Rydel said, frowning.
I laughed out loud, "He likes you silly, he just doesn't think he has a chance!"
I watched her face light up, "Are you being serious?"
