Truth Or Dare

Prologue

Distant screams of horror echoing through the deserted halls. The metal ticking of a clock stuck in my head as I await in my prison cell. I was sat in the corner of the cell clutching my knees, rocking back and forth.

Until I heard the bolt unlocking I looked up to see a guard. I smiled and laughed. I was a psychopath.

The guard spat on the floor in front of me 'Ethan Cartwick, it's time!'

"Argh!" I shot up from my troubled sleep. I don't know why but it was always that same dream of me in jail.

I ran my fingers through my sweaty hair, removing the covers of my bed I walk to the bathroom.

I step in the the shower and just stand there, letting the cool water wash the horrors of my nightmare down the plug hole.

About 10 minutes later I go back into my room to change. As I pull out my favourite plain blue T-Shirt my phone starts to vibrate.

I look over to see it's just my mother. My mum and I don't get on at all, but for some reason I found myself answering the phone.

"Hello darling,"

"Hey mum. What's wrong?" I asked not really in the mood to have a nice son and mother chat.

"Nothing. I just wanted to see if everything is okay for when you move in with Jack today!" Jack Tenner, my best mate since forever. Since it was my 19th last week, Jack and I have planned to move into his house. Living on your own is dead boring.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Anything else?" I say I know I sound rude but I really didn't care.

"No sweetie, I will let you go now. Maybe we can talk later. Love you!"

"Bye mum!" I quickly say before hanging up.

I pull my T-Shirt on then zip my jeans up. I ran down the stairs and grabbed a bowl of cheerios. You can't forget your cheerios.
