Chapter 4 Enemies

"Go away!" Some annoying moron is prodding me. Why are they in my house anyway. I finally sit up, not recognising where I am.

"Where the hell am I?" I ask the black haired boy.

"You're at my house, so can you leave!" His house, what? He must have noticed my confused expression as he explained that he had a party but now his parents are coming home.

"So can you leave?"

"Yeah, sorry, I'm Ethan by the way!" I stood up, immediately falling back down. My head is throbbing.

"You alright? I'm Michael!" Michael helped me up.

"Yeah, do you know where Jack Tenner is?"

"Um, yeah, he left with Niall and Ashton!"

Damn it, what am I supposed to do now? I thought I was dreaming when the most beautiful girl in the world walked over to Michael and I.

"Do you want any help?" Katie asked, she was no longer wearing the black dress, instead she wore black jeans and a tank top. Her blonde hair blowing in the wind.

"Actually, I have this guy, Ethan, he needs a ride, I think," Michael looked at me to see if his statement was correct. I nod before awkwardly smiling at Katie.

"I can give you a lift, I have to take Luke and Calum back but I can't find Jake anywhere! Have you seen him?" She asks worried,

"No I haven't but thank you for the lift!" I say feeling giddy about getting a lift with her.

Yeah, but there are going to be two other guys there. So don't get too excited.

Two boys, who I assume are Luke and Calum, walk over to us.

"Jake just left with Jess, Katie!" I can see the frown forming on her face, I got the impression her and Jess were friends. Maybe not.

"Oh, okay. Lets go then!" She replied before hugging Michael goodbye. She turned to me and introduced Callum and Luke.

"You have a lip piercing?" I ask Luke.

"Yeah, you sound a bit disgusted, do you not like piercings?" He chuckles.

"I do, but I wouldn't personally have one!" Why am I so awkward.

The car journey was quick, she dropped Calum off first then Luke. Then it came the time when she pulled up at Jack's house.

"Thank you, again!" I get out of the car, she must be rich, she is driving a BMW.

"Nice car by the way!"

"Thanks," she giggles. "But it's not  mine, it's Harry's! He lent it to me, as long as I don't destroy it!"

We laugh together for a few seconds before we said our goodbyes and she drove away.

"Thanks for ditching me!" I yell to Jack as I enter the house.

...

"Bye darling, have a nice day at college!" Jill, pinched Jack's cheeks like a baby and planted a kiss onto his forehead.

Haha, mummy's boy!

She gave me a hug and we left as quickly as possible before round two of kisses and hugs commences.

"I can't believe I forgot about my car, now we have to walk!" Jack whines as we take our usual route to college but by foot.

"You can always get it after college?" I suggest.

"Nah, you don't say!" Jack mutters the rest of the way there, leaving me to try and remember what happened last night.

Finally lunch arrived and we sat at our usual table in the corner. We weren't exactly popular so we stayed away from the people who were. Quite frankly they scared us! As if on queue Luke, Ashton, Calum, Michael, Harry, Louis and Jess walked over to the popular tables. I never really paid attention to who the populars were but I'm glad to know they aren't that scary!

It really is weird the way people envy the populars and hate them, when really they don't even know them. These 'populars' are as friendly as you can get them. Crack heads and alcoholics but friendly.

"Katie will be with Jake," Jack answers my thoughts.

"Uh, cool! Does your mum know about the party?" I ask but Jack doesn't answer me he just looks behind me with wide eyes.

"What?" I begin to panic, who's behind me. Someone who I probably don't like is. I turn around slowly, oh God.

"Well, well, well. Isn't little Ethan!" This can't be good.

Josh Devine -best drummer around but also a bully.

"Um, h-hey! W-w-what are y-you doing h-he-here?" I stutter, he has always had the power to make me afraid to say or do they wrong thing around him.

"Bloody idiot! I hear you have taken a liking to a certain girl, and her boyfriend is so pissed about that!" He emphasises on the word boyfriend, a shiver is sent over me. Jake is pissed with me? This can't be good.

"J-J-Jake is pissed with me?" I ask, already knowing the answer.

"Oh yes and he says that if you even look at her, he is going to beat the shit out of you! And, of course, I will help him beat you up!" His laugh makes my blood run cold as he turns to nod at Jake and Katie, who have joined the others at their table.

Jake's piercing glare meets my eyes and I gulp eventhough he is at least 100 yards away from me.

"See you around dipshit!" Josh smacked his book on my head and ran over to them. Well I guess I have new enemies now. This is like one of those cheesy romance movies, the similarities are unfortunately there. But good for me the lonely, bullied guy always gets the girl! Right?
