Felicity

There once was a girl named Felicity

She was young and was free

Bold and blonde with strong knees

And this girl Felicity lived on the beach

Until she one day arose

And discovered a breech

A man by the name of Redman came

He hated the world because no one was to blame

For everything that made him insane

Felicity and Redman clashed in a bang

With the wind blowing hard

On Bye World beach that day

And for both of them had something to say

Which they both though maybe for another day

So the next day they met on that freedom beach

Out in the distance came the breech

That Felicity thought she could maybe teach

Something new and great but not in speech

So she wrote something fresh

In the sand on the beach

With a far off tree branch

From the tall banana tree

After writing with the limb

Redman strained to now see

The words "I love you"

"Even if not you love me"

For Felicity knew there was more than she'd see

To him Mr. Redman

He knew not what to be

To be afraid, encouraged, angry, filled with glee

He said nothing but "why"

"I've got nowhere to be"

Said she Felicity

She walked out into water

Holding not her breath

And he could see

"What is to do?"

Thought he with no glee

Could she breathe underwater

Why did she think she was free

And if anything

Why did it fill her with glee

Redman gasped unsure of what was to be

Of an empowered strange girl

Named Felicity

And for years he could do nothing but see

And stare at awe

By the ocean

At the banana tree.
