The One In Which Carmen Is A Little Too Protective
---

The air was tense, I could feel Dean's eyes on me and through our tie I could feel his frustration building. I turned around to face him, his hard eyes softened slightly when I met them, "Dean, calm down."

He sighed, and moved to the wall, leaning against it and folding his arms over his chest. Sam had sat in a chair across from where I was standing, he was leaning forward onto his elbows which were balanced on his knees.

The quiet of the room was disturbed as Cass materialised with the flutter of his wings, holding a frail body in his arms. I could feel through my ties to the boys that they were related.

"Help," Cass whimpered, falling onto the ground with the boy in his arms.

Dean and Sam were beside him in an instant, helping him onto the couch. I stood on the other side of the room, my stance the same eyeing the small boy suspiciously.

Bobby laid the boy onto the couch, while Dean helped Cass up.

"Who is it?" Bobby asked, referring to the brown haired boy laying in front of him.

Sam folded his arms over his chest and let out a heavy breath, "Our brother."

"Brother?" I question while at the same time Bobby asked, "Adam?"

Dean who was now standing again with Cass beside him turned to the angel, "Cass, what the hell?"

"Angels." Cass stated simply, seeming to have regained his composure.

"Angels? Why?" Sam asked, his eyebrows knitted created his ever present worry lines.

Castiel adjusted his trench coat and straightened, seeming to be searching for an answer, "I know one thing for sure. We need to hide him now."

Cass walked toward him his hand extended, "Cass, what are you doing?" I asked, quickly.

He turned to look at him, "Branding his ribs. To hide him." He stated simply.

I looked to Dean, but he was staring at Adam, his forehead creased. I sighed heavily, giving up, at least Adam would wake up and perhaps be able to give us straight answers unlike Castiel.

Cass placed his hand on Adam's chest, he writhed in agony until Cass pulled his hand away. Adam's eyes flew open and he shot up, "Where am I?" He asked, urgently.

Sam moved forward, uncrossing his arms, "It's okay. Just relax, you're safe."

Adam's frantic eyes landed on Sam his eye's widening further, "Who the hell are you?"

Dean exhaled slowly, leaning forward on his elbows, "You're gonna find this a little... a lot crazy," he amended, "but we're actually your brothers."

Adam's features relaxed, nodding his head in realisation.

"It's the truth, John Winchester was our father, too. See, I'm Sam—" Sam tried to explain but was cut off by Adam who was now nodding his head looking between the boys.

"Yeah, yeah and I'm sure that's Dean. I know who you guys are," he said surprisingly calmly, it unnerved me.

"How?" I asked, my protective instincts kicking in. I pushed off the wall and walked toward him, glaring accusingly.

Sam placed a hand on my arm, silently telling me to calm down. Adam seemed to have lost his confidence after my outburst as his response was with a lot less conviction, "They warned me about you two."
