Twenty fourth Night

"Oops" Sara stepped forward, giggling darkly. She obviously wasn't sorry. Her foot popped off the ground as she checked the heel of her boot.

Kaname angrily sent a blast of power towards her. Her body melted down, turning into that of a white tiger. She pranced elegantly, on the prowl then morphed back.

"I'm coming for you, watch out" she glared at Yuki then the familiar disintegrated into the earth.

"Hide now. In the basement" Kaname tried to push Yuki towards the door.

"No!" he gripped onto her arms.

"Yuki..." he pleaded, his eyes full of worry. "I can make you"

She let him pull her towards the doors unwillingly yet, she did nothing to stop him.

"I'll get you soon, you know where everything is?" she nodded, blinking back tears.

"Kaname-sama..." her fingers reached out as he pulled away.

"Goodbye Yuki" he walked out, locking the doors behind him.

"I love you" she whispered to no one, only the metal barriers faced her, once again she was alone.

"Whether you choose to follow me or not is of your choice. If you wish to help that would be great, we can use all the help we can get" Kaname faced those who had followed him, those that he used and abandoned. Kain and Ruka, at the front of the group raised their hands.

"We will follow you, Kaname-sama" they spoke in unison, they bowed.

"As will we" Shiki and Rima. Seiren made her way up to Kaname's side, in a silent agreement.

"I will join you Kaname-sama" it was Aido who spoke this time, putting aside differences. The other vampires stared at him. Even after his father's death, Aido was still loyal. His response commenced many others, most of the night class rejoining their old leader.

"Then it's settled, I hope that you will remain by our side to defeat our enemy. Though I must warn you, we will be fighting alongside the hunters. Please do not be hostile towards them, they are volunteering to help even though they probably shouldn't, they are vital to this battle"

Yuki held herself, sitting on the couch. Kaname still hadn't returned . But he said he'd be back... She felt so useless, Kaname had just left her again. She wasn't a doll! She was a pureblood, just like him. She could handle herself! She'd just been locked up in the basement rooms, like when she had been a child.

"But I'm not a child anymore" she said to herself.

Suddenly, a vibration resonated through the house. Yuki's blood ran cold. There was a cracking, it got louder as it neared. She subconsciously grabbed Artemis as the doors swung open.

"I came to get you, little bird"
