Kaname looked back as a blood curdling scream filled the air. As if in slow motion, he watched as Yuki's body fell towards the ground.

Yuki felt Kaname grab her, pulling her into his arms but not much else. Her body felt like it was in flames, thousands of knives jabbing at her skin. She tried to hold back but she couldn't stop the screams coming from her throat. She struggled to hold herself up, her legs couldn't support her.

"It's ok Yuki" Kaname whispered. "I'm right here"

Sara sent what must have been at least a hundred level Es toward them. Kaname was unprepared for this attack and braced himself as they neared. Sara continued to send blasts of energy at Yuki, causing her to fall limp into Kaname's arms. Sara took this opportunity of him being distracted to lunge for Yuki's throat. Kaien Kurosu jumped in front of her, his face being grazed by Sara's sharp claws. He made not a sound as the pureblood's claws dug into his flesh, he held a strong demeanor. Even as she shoved him out of the way, throwing him down a deep cliff edge.

"Otou-sama!" Yuki yelled. She tried to run after him, making her way to the steep edge. It seemed to go on forever, she couldn't see the bottom. "Otou-sama!" she then whispered quietly. "Please... You can't die now" a blast of power caused her to almost be knocked off the cliff too. When she turned she saw Sara, blood at her mouth, Kaname's blood. He was being restrained by many many level Es. They held him down, other than his throat which held two crimson bite marks.

"Kaname-sama!" Yuki yelled at him. She ran as quickly as she could but the pain caused her to collapse. Her knees buckled as she tumbled to the ground. Everyone was in battle, the nobles and hunters were busy killing off the level Es and the headmaster... Yuki didn't want to think about what had happened to him. All these people fighting for them... She didn't feel worth it, at this point she was weak and defenseless, she didn't even have Artemis. Yuki felt anger swell up within her as she watched Sara take Kaname's blood forcefully. Suddenly, all the level Es cracked, shattered into ash. Everyone looked at Yuki in surprise, which for Sara immediately turned into fury.

"How dare you?!" Sara screamed sending blast after blast of pain towards Yuki. Her fierce blue gaze turned scarlet. Blood started seeping from Yuki's chest as cuts began to form all along her body. They curved and swirled, forming words. Alone. The one word crossing over itself as it repeated over her porcelain skin. Her elegant white dress becoming stained. Hazy mist clouded her vision as she fell to her knees.

Yuki saw her parents , blank expressions on their faces as the slowly turned to ash. Blood seeping from their chests and their fingertips disintegrating. Yuki yelled at them and tried to run. She was trapped behind a wall of glass. She pounded her fists against it to no avail, her parents disappeared. Kaname stood in front of her now.

"I promise to come back" he walked into the darkness and Yuki collapsed to the ground, he wasn't coming back. She felt sorrow and anger building up inside her. She reached out a slender hand to touch the glass, it wasn't just a wall but a box, a case. Yuki looked at the glass, searching for her reflection. Instead she saw Shizuka. Her face pale and thin, tears running from her cherry blossom pink eyes. Yuki reached to her cheeks, they were damp with tears. Shizuka did the same, she really was Yuki's reflection. Kuruizaki hime sama trapped like a doll in a glass case, the two were quite alike. Yuki saw something else, through the glass. It was Kaname and Ruka. Yuki was what seemed to be unconscious in Kaname's arms and he seemed to be fighting with Ruka. She could faintly make out words.

"And what of the girl in your arms?" Ruka asked sternly.

"She will become a hindrance" He looked down at her. "I will have no choice"

"So be it..." Yuki tuned them out. Kaname had planned on leaving her that long ago. At least a year before he'd left, she'd trusted him! He might have killed her had he had the chance. All that time that she was locked in that mansion faithfully waiting for him... He was planning on leaving! Anger bubbled deep inside her, shattering the glass. She felt betrayed. Why? What was it that he needed to do that she got in the way of? Where did he go when he'd first disappeared?
