Chapter 17: The Attic Key

Mick-"hiding in the kitchen?"

Mara-(she looked up and saw Mick)"oh, Hi, no.. I'm just putting more chips and dips out and stuff."

Mick-"All take them in for you, if you like."

Mara-"thanks."

Mick-" I haven't talked to you properly since, you know.."

Mara-"the friendship bracelet incident" (she kind of giggled)

Mick-"yeah, I just wanted to apologize for making things awkward between you and Amber.

Mara-"no, I think we're cool now."

Mick-"good, (Mara took a chip and dipped it in a sauce) looks good." (he smiled and her about to eat it)

Mara-" do you ever stop thinking about food. (Mara placed the chip in his mouth seeing that his hands were full and he ate it. Amber walked into the kitchen with cake, seeing some of what just happened)

Amber-"Hi Mick.." (she looked at Mara a bit mad)

Mick-"Hi Amb's." (he felt a bit guilty but didn't know why)

Amer-"uhh, we should cut the cake in a minute boo."

Mick-" umm, (he looked for a place to put the chips but handed them to Mara gently) okay, I'll go through. (he took the cake from Amber and went into the living room/ dining room area. Mara tried walking away but the door was passed Amber who blocked it so she could talk. )

Amber-" I want you to keep your paws off my boyfriend."

Mara-"What are you talking about?"

Amber-"oh don't play the innocent Mara, I know you like him, I heard you telling Patricia, and you were just flirting with him now!"

Mara-"I wasn't!"

*Patricia enters*

Patricia-" Hey what's going on?! (she came in with a smile unaware of them fighting)

Amber-"Patricia do you want to switch rooms with me? I know you don't like sharing with Nina, and I certainly don't want to share with mara anymore!" (Patricia was a bit shocked and uncomfortable to what she just walked into. Amber left leaving Patricia still with that offer. and Mara's jaw dropped, like she was about to cry)

*In the attic Nina and Fabian were searching for some that the key fit into. Nina had found a little locked box and brought it to his attention*

Nina-"What about this?! (her and Fabian sat down and they tried the key and it worked shockingly. Inside was this weird shaped object, cylinders and some papers)

Fabian-"What are these?"

Nina-" I have no idea. What about this? (she took out the biggest object in there) It's really old."

Fabian-(lit up with an idea) "Hey, hey, my uncle is an antic stealer, I bet if we took this stuff to him, he be able to figure out what it was." (Nina thought about it)

Nina-"I don't think that's such a good idea, do you? Sarah was so secretive. (A loud noise was made catching both of there attentions.) what was that?"

Fabian-"shh, (Nina started stuffing things into her bag) I think it's just the door shutting downstairs. "

Nina-"okay, well I've had enough spookiness for one night. (She finished putting the things in her bag and planned to go back to her room) I'll meet you at the party? I'm going to put these somewhere safe..." (he nodded and they both went downstairs)

*Downstairs, victor had just came back and entered the house of Anubis. he heard music and instantly he looked disgusted. Je saw the students from the house and some unfamiliar faces that were dancing in the living room and dinning room area. he walked over and Jerome who was standing by the stereo saw him and cut off the music. Everyone stopped doing what they were doing as the watched Victor give them a death stare. After a long 10 seconds of pure silence, victor started taking off his coat and walked towards the stairs, heading to his office. Jerome turned back on the music and everyone continued doing what they were before. In Nina's room, she had a box on her lap getting ready to look to put the artifact in it, when something caught her eye. suddenly Amber stormed into her room with a big smile and Nina quickly put the artifact in the box and closed it.*

Amber-"I've wondered where you were!! you missed the cake.."

Nina-"oh yeah, sorry, was it good?"

Amber- (got distracted)" Is that a jewelry box?!"

Nina-"uh, something like that."

Amber-"I LOVE JEWELRY!!! Can I see....!"

Nina- (put the box under her bed) "ugh, no, no, no, umm, you wouldn't like it, it's nothing expensive, or sparkly, really..."

Amber-"I hope we become a bit more friendlier when we become roomies." (she breaks the news to Nina)

Nina-"what?"

Amber-"I'm swiping rooms with Patricia, WE'LL BE SHARING FOR NOW ON!!!!!" ( he smile grew)

Nina-"REALLY!? THAT'S GREAT!!! Wait, (her smile faded after a current thought) was this Patricia's idea.."

Amber-" no... mine... I've had a fight with Mara." (she looked sad and Nina saw. she deiced to change the conversation)

Nina-"so.. about that chocolate cake. (they both stood up and Amber smiled) is there any left overs?"

Amber-" well, Trudy's chocolate cake is to die for.." (they left the room and crossed Victor on the way out who was heading towards the attic door. noticing that his test has passed, seeing that the fallen feather was on the ground)

Vistor-"I knew it.." (he gave a smirk and walked back down angrily)

*In the dinning room, Amber and Mick were dancing together, and Amber noticed Mara dancing and so she got a little closer to him and her he held her hips. they even kissed. Mara turned back and sat faced frontwards. Fabian noticed Nina sitting down and decide to go to her)

Fabian-"umm, Nina. (she looked up at him) would you, umm, would you like to dance?" (she smiled big)

Nina-"Yeah! sure! (he smiled to) but.. I mean I apologize in advanced for the damage I'm about to do to your feet. (they both giggled and just went for it. Suddenly Alfie ran into the room with a big moose head that was hanging on the wall on his head. )

Alfie-"Hey, guess what I am?!! A party animal!!!! yay!" (Jerome looked over at him and laughed aloud and the girl that was talking to him left. Alfie started running up to everyone individually and went up to Mara who was annoyed)

Mara-"you're so dumb Alfie!!" (everyone was laughing then Victor came in yelling)

Victor-"ENOUGH!!!! (Everyone went dead quite) turn that racket off! (Fabian turned it off) Anyone who doesn't live here, OUT!! the party is over. and you! (he pointed to Alfie with his supporting cane for his ankle) ow dare you miss around with that! TAKE IT OFF YOUR HEAD IMMEDIATELY!!!! (Alfie struggles to remove the moose head for his own.) Dis you hear what I said?!"

Alfie-"I can't, it's stuck!" (everyone laughed)

Victor-" STOP LAUGHING! (they all shut up) I have had enough of you vermin. (he starts moving around looking at each of them) who has got the spare key to the attic!??! ugh???? I know somebody's been up there! (Nina and Fabian look at each other then look away) tonight as a matter of fact!! oh yes! you think you all are so clever, but you are not as clever as me. (He hit the floor hard with his cane) WHO HAS IT!!!!!!!" (everyone jumped)

Alfie-"It's really hot in here (Victor looked at him with more anger then he has ever shown) I can't breath!"

Victor-"Well then!! We'll just have to saw it off! shan't we?! (he grabbed Alfie by the neck with his cane)

Alfie-"A SAW!!!?"

Victor-"ahh yes! The rest of you wait there!!!" (he dragged Alfie with him upstairs to his office while the others stayed contain in the living room dinning room area. Everyone was scared))

Fabian-"what do we do now?" (Nina was frightened )
