"Your Majesty Crown Prince Jian seeks your audience", Eunuch Nam announced standing outside the large black and gold doors of the Emperor's chambers.

"He may enter", replied the Emperor with an irritated voice thinking his son came to nag him about peasants.

Jian entered the room finding his Father rested on Consort Kangs lap, Consort Kang was playing with his hair while a musician was playing a soft tune on the harp behind a golden translucent curtain in the room. Jian respectfully bowed to them.

"I greet Father and your Highness", he said.

"Did you come to pester me about peasants again?" The Emperor said in bored voice. Consort Kang let out a laugh.

"No actually I'm leaving to join the war camps soon, I've already sent a messenger to notify the troops", Jian said head lowered.

The Emperor Zu and Consort Kang's faces widened in disbelief.
Consort Kang let out a scoff and started shaking her head making her expensive gold jewelry dangle all over the place.

"You expect us to believe you, you wouldn't make it an hour in them camps, you're way too used to the luxury palace life", laughed Consort Kang.

"I think I'll be fine your highness", Jian said quietly knowing the consort was right.

"I'll announce your news in court tommorow, you may leave now", Emperor Zu said dismissing Jian.

The young man bowed Before quickly leaving the room.
Jian headed to his palace to begin preparing for his departure.
When he arrived he found the Crown Princess in his room sitting on his bed face filled with anger. She was rapidly tapping her feet making a clicking noise with her heels.

"What's going on?" Jian asked.

"Nothing just that my husband is going to war which he failed to tell me, there's absolutely nothing wrong", Xin said rolling her eyes.

"I don't owe you any explanations! If I want to join the war I will, its not like we are properly married anyway!!" Jian snapped at Xin.

"I've had it with you! What did I wrong?! Loving you is that it?! Why can't you just accept me as your wife? WHY?! " Xin shouted finally releasing her inner emotions she's held so long.
"You must always treat me like complete garbage! Well Jian I'm done, I'll beg the Emperor for a divorce if that's what you want!", she added letting out deep breaths.

Jian had a stunned expression that quickly turned in to a raged One.

"Are you done?! How dare you raise your voice at me?! What makes you think you have the right to do that?! Is it cause your Yang Min's daughter?! You can beg all day for a divorce father won't listen to you, I've already asked for one countless of times but I'm still married to you!" Jian shouted face red with anger.

"You...asked for a divorce?" Xins voice shaked tears leaving her eyelids.

"Isn't that what I just said?"

"Silly me thinking you'd grow to love me, but you grew to hate me".

"Xin get out I don't want to see you unless I ask for you, don't let me catch you in my chambers again stay in your side of the palace".

Xin left the room without looking at him, she ran straight to her chambers where she fell on her bed crying.

"Your higness what's wrong?" Asked Xins servant Bai.

"Call for my father Bai", Xin said getting up trying to pull herself together.

"I need to secure my position, I will be future Empress no one else!", she added.
