Xin walked in to Empress Zhang's palace to find Zhen Li and Consort Yi already seated in the dining area, she nervously looked around the room to find that woman the Empress was nowhere to be seen. She slightly bowed and sat down on the seat next to Consort Yi avoiding to sit close to Zhen Li. There was awkward silence and tension at table for awhile until Empress Zhang entered the room with two maids following her with gifts in her hand.

"Hello Ladies welcome, I invited you all for lunch this afternoon to celebrate the newest edition to my son Jian's harem the lovely Zhen Li", the Empress said proudly smiling at Zhen Li who got on her knees to thank the Empress.

"Your highness I want to thank you for giving me great opportunity to serve you and his highness the Crown Prince I promise I wont fail you", the young lady said repeatedly bowing her head.

"Rise my dear, here I have prepared some gifts for you please accept them", Empress Zhang said handing over the gifts to Zhen Li.
A slight feeling of jealousy hit Xin remembering when she married Jian the Express never prepared any gifts for her or even acknowledged her presence the way she is with Zhen Li.

"Ladies please sit and enjoy the full course meal I have prepared for us", the empress said sitting down reaching for her chopsticks.
Xin was hesitant to eat as she doesn't trust any food or drink the Empress tries to offer her anymore after finding out she is the reason she is infertile. Xin sat there staring at her plate of food hoping time would go by fast as she didn't want endure being in the same room with Zhen Li any longer. Empress Zhang turned to notice Xin not eating her food.

"Is there are reason why you are not eating?" The Empress said eyeing her suspiciously.
The Empress startled Xin causing her to jump.

Bitch!
Xin said to herself.
You know damn well why I won't touch your food, was what she wanted to say but instead said;
"Forgive me royal mother but this grandchild of yours is making it hard for his mother to eat these days", Xin replied forcing a smile.

"Would you like me to prepare a tonic to help with-", just as the Empress was about finish her sentence Xin interrupted.
"NO!" She shouted getting up from her chair.
"Crown princess! What is the meaning of this disrespect towards her royal highness?" Consort Yi yelled.
Zhen Li began laughing quickly stopping when she seen the death stare Xin had given her.

"Please forgive my rude behaviour royal mother., I am not feeling very well today, by your grace may I leave?" The crown princess said bowing.

Empress Zhang simply nodded and gestured for her to leave, just as Xin was about exit the room Zhen Li got up to say something.
"Mother, since older sister doesn't seem to be feeling well it's only right if I go with her and make sure she's fine", she said.
"Very well you may go with her but make sure to return", the Empress said.

The two women walked for awhile in silence until they were safe distance away from the Empress' palace, when Xin gestured for her entourage of maids to leave to speak to Zhen Li alone.
"What do you want?!" Xin asked annoyed by her presence.
"What does sister mean?" Zhen Li replied fake smiling.
"Oh please like you really care about my health now tell me what you really want from me!"

"Since you asked it's only appropriate if I answer, I came to tell you that whatever hope or dream you have of becoming the next owner of the Phoenix crown can die now! I'm not here to play games I'm here to win".
"You bi-" Xin was about to slap her when Zhen Li grabbed her hand.
"I'm not done".

Zhen Li then approached Xin until she was up close to her face, grabbed her by the neck and began tightly choking her, Xin tried to fight back but her grasp was too strong.
"You think just because you are Yang Mins daughter you are above everyone well sweetie you're not, you are nothing but a spoiled bitch! You will never be Empress not as long as I'm here!"
She then let go of Xin making her fall hard on the ground and walked off leaving Xin sobbing. The princess was in disbelief and shock of what had just happened, she then began crying and screaming until her maids came running frantically.

"Your highness please drink some water at least you haven't eaten all day, you can not starve yourself", Bai said offering Xin a cup of water.
Xin grabbed the cup of water from Bais tiny hands and slammed it against wall shattering it in to pieces.
"Look at the scars on my neck! All because of that whore! She is still walking around breathing and I am here in PAIN!" The princess shouted pointing at the nail marks across her neck.

"Young miss you know what older Miss said we can't deal with her just yet we have to wait for her orders", Bai said trying to calm down Xin.
"I've never been so humiliated all my life, I don't think I can stay here any longer knowing I let her get away with this", Said Xin.

"What are you thinking of doing your highness".
"I think it's best if I leave the palace for about eight months and come back when the maid has given birth. That way when I re-enter the palace I will have more power as a mother of prince which will make it easier to get rid of that daring bitch!"
"Eight months?! That's quite a long time to be away would the Empress even allow this?"

"I don't care if that witch allows it or not I'm not staying here if I have to live under same roof as Zhen Li!"
"When are you planning on leaving?"
"Right away! I don't think I can stay here any longer. Prepare for my leave I want to be out of here by the evening, pack all my favourite dresses,perfumes,jewellery and shoes, also prepare for a horse and carriage to take me to Yang Manor immediately".

Bai nodded obediently leaving the room to do what was told. Xin then began dressing in her casual attire that she wore when she was traveling, she looked at her reflection on her mirror and tears began strolling down her curved cheeks.  She doesn't know how long she sat there crying but when Bai came back to tell her that everything was ready for her leave she knew it was over two hours.  She wiped her tears away looking at her room one last time before exiting the palace.

"Before I go call for Zhen Li tell her to meet me outside my carriage I have some final words for her", the princess ordered heading towards the palace gates where her carriage was parked.

Xin waited until she seen Zhen Li approaching the gates laughing in a mocking tone.
"I heard your leaving, did I happen to scare you away?" Zhen Li asked in a mocking tone.
"Scare me away? You wish! I'm going away to have my baby in peace without evil witches like you trying to kill me and my baby", said Xin.

"Is the Empress even allowing this?"
"If she has a problem with my leave then she can have a word with my father not me".
"Of course Yang Mins daughter can do whatever she likes when she desires".
"Exactly I am Yang Mins daughter! Don't think I forgot about the incident from earlier I will never forget it! I hope you enjoy you're time here well while I go away for awhile because when I return I don't think you'll have much time left in this world! You messed with wrong woman!"

"Why do you sou-" Just as Zhen Li was about to finish her sentence Xin had already stepped in to her carriage, she looked over at her arch nemesis before closing her carriage door shut and gesturing for her men to set off.  Zhen Li watched the crown princess' luxurious carriage leave the palace gates she hoped that would be last of Xin but knew damn well it wasn't there was still MUCH more to come.
