Jian entered Princess Pings palace, looking all over the room the find her whereabouts but she was no where to be seen. He decided to sit on a blue velvet coach while he called a maid to ask for her whereabouts.
"Where is Princess Ping?" He asked one of the servants in the room.
"Forgive us, but her highness is still fast asleep she refused to get up this morning, we tried everything and she is still hesitant", The maid cried in fear head lowered dropping on her knees.
"At this hour?! Does she normally do this?!" Jian said getting up heading for Pings sleeping chambers with the maids following his every move.
"Um- yes, her highness enjoys her sleep very much", the maids silently responded.
"Ping it's me! Open up!" The crown Prince shouted tapping on the doors to the princess's sleeping chamber. When Ping heard a loud knock at the door she groaned and buried herself in her plush pillows, today she was just not in the mood.
"Go away! How dare you interrupt my sleep you low lives! I will have your heads!" Ping shouted thinking Jian was one of her nagging servants.
"Your highness the Crown Prince seeks your audience please get up!" Cried her maid in fear behind the closed doors.
Crown Prince? Ping asked herself I'm shock.
"Oh Crown Prince, damn it now I have to get up! Effort!" The princess said getting up from her bed quickly getting dressed loathing every moment. She didn't bother dressing properly as long as she was wearing appropriate attire was all that mattered even if her hair is a total train wreck. She opened the door not saying a word and headed to her parlour.
She jumped on her blue coach and let out a loud sigh before turning to the prince who was coming behind her settling on the nearest chair in her parlour.
"So what brings you here?" Princess Ping sighed wanting to get rid of him as soon as possible so she could go back to bed.
"You may have heard I will be going to war so I came to say goodbye before I leave, and its your birthday soon so I have prepared I gift for you since your sixteenth birthday is coming up", Jian said handing the gift over to the princess.
"You war? Please that's like me actually trying to do something productive in life which usually doesn't end well", Ping mocked laughing at Jians face.
"It's true Ping I am no longer that coward you used to laugh at", Jian said swallowing his own words. "Right, shall we see what you got for me?", Ping said opening the colourful box to find sparkling emerald earrings.
She gasped "Brother! Thank you so much! There beautiful!" "No problem anything for younger sister", the prince replied delighted she liked the present.
"Wait what's the catch? Why are you doing this? Shouldn't you hate me? I mean our families certainly don't get along!" Questioned Ping eyeing her half brother suspiciously.
