This chapter is dedicated to Zippie_The_Reader, the first person that ever supported my writing talent and pretty much my biggest fan ever... Hehe.. Enjoy!"I have absolutely no idea what I am going to wear to this party today mom!" Rachel sighs in frustration as she searches her small closet.
"I'm sure you will find something dear. Don't stress too much." Evelyn tells her daughter as she sits on her bed.
"All these rich people! They wear an outfit or designer dress once and never wear it again but yet I can't even find something appropriate enough for a party. It's not fair!" Rachel sits down in anger.
"I know that dear but if you can't find a dress then no need to go besides that party is for rich people, you won't fit in there anyway." Evelyn looks at Rachel worried. She knew Lakewood was a place for the rich and she never wanted Rachel to get caught up in the things she could never have.
"Mom this town is for rich people!" Rachel begins as if reading her mother's mind "We don't fit in here but we're still here so it doesn't make a difference besides, I have to be at that party whether I like it or not."
"Why say so dear?"
"Because of my job mom." Rachel explains "You know I work in events so this is just one of the jobs. If I don't attend, it will reflect badly on my company and I don't want that."
"If you insist dear." Evelyn looks at Rachel whose look is becoming more disheveled by the minute "but then the question borders on, what are you going to wear?"
"I have no idea mom!" Rachel eases her face into her palms in confusion.
"Why don't you borrow one of Rebecca's dresses from your cousin Brenda?" Evelyn tries to provide a solution.
"Mom! That is crazy!" Rachel protests "Also, I don't feel comfortable with that. Maybe I will just wear my old prom dress."
"You're joking!" Evelyn scowls."No I am not. That dress is still really pretty. All I have to do is touch it up a bit and it'll look like a brand new dress. I'll take it to a tailor." Rachel begins to smile as her plan comes together in her mind.
"Borrowing your cousin's dress is uncomfortable but yet wearing your old prom dress is completely comfortable?" Evelyn says unable to understand and then she stands up "I will never understand you."
"Mom, Rebecca is gone, borrowing her dress would seem a bit weird in her parents eyes. I don't want them to look at me wrongly in anyway." Rachel explains.
"Oh." Evelyn thinks for a second "I think I get what you are saying now although I think it's still not such a bad idea. Well I'll leave you now dear. I have to go."
"Bye mom."
Evelyn leaves Rachel's room and Rachel gets off her small bed and heads to her closet where she rummages through it until she finds her huge pink prom dress which she wore three years ago.
"Just a little re-touching and this dress will look perfect." Rachel says to herself.
Rachel puts the dress into a bag and leaves her house. she's wearing a yellow mini dress and a pair of grey sandals. She makes her way to the neighbors house and then rings the door bell when someone opens.
"Hello." Dave greets Rachel with a broad smile, his dark blue eyes shining as he opens the door wearing only shorts. His short auburn hair is extremely messy showing that he most likely just got out of bed.
