*Laurance's POV*

"I need to talk to you about Laurance."

Damn it, damn everything!

I peaked around the corner, from the staircase. I kept out of plain sight, watching Garroth and his father's conversation.

"W-what about h-him..?"

"Garroth...why him?"

Why me, what?

"Why what?" Garroth cocked his head. "Laurance is my best friend and roommate. I d-don't see what you're getting at here, father."

"I heard your conversation you had, outside the bathroom.

Oooohhh.......crap...

I noticed Garroth's face flush red, and he nervously rocked back and forth. I sighed, stepping out from the staircase. Garroth noticed me, biting his lip.

"D-Dad..," Garroth muttered, his face turning darker shades of red.

"Excuse me, Mr. Ro'Meave," I tapped on Garroth's father's shoulder, holding my hands on my hips. Garte turned around, glaring slightly at me. I tried to hold on to any ounce of confidence I had in me. "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation you were having with Garroth about me? It's rude to talk about people, while they're listening..."

"L-Laurance!" Garroth became more nervous, biting down harder on his lip.

I knew he didn't want me talking back to his father like that, because he wants his dad to like me. But I am not going to deal with Garte's crap. His son, should be allowed to date whoever he wants! Even if it's not me...I just want Garroth to be happy.

Because, that's what partners are for, right?

"Hm?" Garte rose an eyebrow at me.

"Were you going to talk to Garroth, about how he shouldn't be dating me anymore?" I smirked.

"L-Laurance w-what a-are you d-doing?!" Garroth started heavily breathing.

I went to his side, rubbing his back soothingly. He leaned his head on my shoulder, and I could hear him crying softly. I knew what I was doing. And whether Garroth liked it or not, I was going to tell Garte off. I need to know, here and now, why he wouldn't want Garroth to date me. Because, I know that he doesn't.

"So, you two are dating?" Garte crossed his arms, giving me a menacing look.

"And? What's the big deal about that?" I smirked, knowing I was going to get under Garte's nerves. "I think, as a father figure, you should be supportive of your son's choices."

"What are you getting at, boy?" Garte dropped his arms, still glaring at me. "I love Garroth, and I care for him. I always have, and I always will. Nothing will change my mind about that. Are you trying to say, that I don't support him being...gay?"

I nodded, hugging Garroth close to me. "You're sure acting, like that's the case."

"Listen, young man..," Garte gritted his teeth, his fists balled. "I fully support Garroth being gay. I love him, with all of my heart. What I don't like, is you."
