*Laurance's POV*

Cadenza is coming today!

Crap!

I finished cleaning the kitchen, dashing into the living room to start. I heard footsteps trudging down the stairs, which belonged to the beautiful Garroth. He stretched his arms, smiling at me.

"Hey, Laurance," he gave such an adorable yawn. "Why are you up this early?"

"I need to finish cleaning. Cadenza will be here any minute!" I panicked, fixing up the couch.

Garroth came to my side, helping me. "When will she be here?"

"In about ten to fifteen minutes!"

"How long is she going to be staying with us, again?"

"Until September 5th," I groaned, finishing up the couch, and starting on the coffee table.

"September 5th?! That's...a whole week!"

"I know!" I finished up the coffee table, throwing myself backwards on the couch. I groaned, rubbing my forehead. Garroth sat beside me, putting a hand on my knee.

"Are you done cleaning?"

"For the most part," I sighed. "I still have to finish cleaning the guest room, for Cadenza to stay."

"How long have you been cleaning?" Concern laced Garroth's voice. I looked up at him, smiling.

"Since 4 am..."

Garroth's eyes widened, and he stood up. I started to get up, but he lightly pushed me back down. I cocked my head at him, and he just shook his head in reply.

"You're done cleaning, for today. I will take care of the guest room. You relax for a moment, okay?" Garroth put on an adorable face, making me sigh.

"Whatever. I know I didn't have a choice in the matter, anyways."

I leaned back on the couch, and Garroth smiled at me. He bent down slightly, kissing my cheek, before scurrying off upstairs. I shook my head, chuckling a bit.

He makes everyday worth it...

I stared off into space, my eyes drifting slightly. That was, until I heard a knock at the door. I jumped up, running over to it. I swung open the door, to see a familiar face.

A girl with fiery orange hair, and bright blue eyes, stood in the doorway. She had a smirk plastered on her face, and her hands on her hips.

"Cadenza, hey!" I greeted her, and she walked in.

"Where's Garroth?" Cadenza waltzed in, and I rolled my eyes at her.

"Nice to see you too, sis."

Cadenza looked around the living room, presumably searching for Garroth.

"Right, right. Where's Garroth, though?"

"Why do you care?" I rose an eyebrow at Cadenza. She turned around, somewhat glaring at me.
