8. Plans

I turned around to Green who said exactly what I was going to say. I had opened my eyes widely in surprise, ''Green, I was about to say that exact thing!'' I said with a soft chuckle. He smiled, ''That's strange.'' He replied.

''You guys are like twins!'' Blue teased. She grinned and looked back in front of her. Gold shot a glare at Blue, ''So what am I then if the other two guys are twins?'' He asked with a hurt expression. Blue hummed and looked back to us with a smirk. ''You're Crystal's boyfriend, duh.'' and she rolled her eyes.

Crystal snapped her head towards Blue, ''Blue! Don't just say that!'' She screeched. Gold closed his eyes lightly and nodded with his right hand on his chin, almost as if he were thinking about something. He opened his eyes and looked at Crystal. ''Come on Crys, doesn't that sound like a good idea?'' He asked. He slowly put an arm around her only to get kicked in the stomach, seconds later.

I chuckled at Gold and then looked back at Green. ''So, shall we all get some flowers for Yellow after school?'' I asked.

''I'm up for it.'' Green answered. Gold jumped up, ''Of course! I'm not heartless like Crystal so I'm doing something great without hurting othe-'' Crystal interrupted Gold by kicking him in the shins. ''I'd gladly join you but I can't. My schedule is packed but I'll help in any way I can.'' Crystal said with a sad smile. Gold then froze in place.

''Sh*t.''

''What's wrong?'' Crystal asked him. Gold shook his head, ''Actually, I can't come with you guys.'' He said. ''Why?'' I asked. He seemed so sure before and even excited about it to some degree. ''I'm visiting my mom in the hospital.'' He said. I mouthed an 'O'. Gold's mother had been in the hospital for a while because she was sick. There were lots of times during the summer vacation that he had to bail on us because of that. It's kind of funny to me, he seems so rebellious but he cares about his mother and loves her so much. We'd seen him care about how tidy his house was because he didn't want to cause his mom any trouble. But then he would barge into any house other than his own with muddy shoes and would proceed to knock over a vase or something.

''Say to her that we said hi.'' Blue told him. Gold nodded, ''I will!''. I felt slightly disappointed that Gold and Crystal couldn't come. They were important members of the group. (But I wouldn't want to keep Gold from seeing his sickly mother or make Crystal stress any more than she already does.) Gold then opened his backpack and pulled a notebook out of it. He quickly searched for something in his bag and pulled out a pencil. He put the pencil on the notebook and then groaned in frustration. He grabbed a pencil sharpener and sharpened the pencil in the middle of the hallway and leaving the shavings on the ground. He tried again but then repeated the process of groaning and sharpening the pencil until it was one inch long. Gold rolled his eyes and threw the pencil away and hitting someone with it. ''My beautiful hat? It's scratched!'' ''Shut up. F*ckin' prissy.''

He grabbed another pencil while we were all waiting in anticipation and curiosity to know what he was doing. He pressed the pencil against the paper and then groaned again. He reached out for his pencil sharpener before getting his pencil slapped away and being handed a pen by Crystal. The pencil flew away and hit someone again. ''No! My hand sewed and precious clothes! They're scratched too!'' I heard someone cry out again. I heard a smack and a loud thud.

Gold wrote something down on the paper and tore out the paper from his notebook. ''Here you go, the address. I usually go there and get flowers for my mom and I'm kind of a regular. If you say you know me, they'll probably let you pick the flowers yourself so you get the best ones.''

I looked at him in surprise and nodded thankfully. ''That's so nice of you.'' I said. He shook it off, ''No problem. I didn't want all of you to steal the spotlight and get all the credit. I was Yellow's friend too so that means I should help too!'' He said with a smile and as he said that Crystal looked at him in awe.

''Okay, then it's settled!'' I said.

After school ended, I saw Gold immediately leave the school grounds. Was he in that much of a hurry? He didn't even say 'goodbye' or 'good luck'. I tried yelling goodbye to him but I don't think he heard me. He was gone in a flash. Quickly after, Crystal walked out of class too. She turned to face us and waved us goodbye. ''See you all tomorrow.'' She said before walking down the hallway. ''Bye, Crystal!~'' Blue said.

I turned to both Green and Blue and gestured them to come with me. I grabbed the piece of paper Gold had handed over to me and held it out in front of me. ''Let's go find this place.'' I said. green snatched the paper from me and took a look at it. He raised and eyebrow and looked up at me, ''This is on the outskirts of the town.''

Now I was surprised. Reason number one, we are located in the middle of the town Gold goes all the way to the outskirts of just for flowers? Reason number two, Green has lived here for not even a year and he already knows that addresses are located where in town? How smart can someone be? I don't even know what the address the school has and I've been going here for 2 years, almost every day.

''Then we better hurry up! We wouldn' want to be walking around outside when it's dark!'' Blue said. She walked forwards and grabbed my hand, pulling me along out of the school. Green jogged alongside me whilst throwing weirded out glances towards Blue.

We were outside and walking on the streets towards the flower shop. I had my phone in my hand to see if we were going in the right direction. ''I wonder what happened to Yellow...'' Blue thought out loud. I blinked twice and stopped in my tracks. I hadn't thought of that yet. What exactly happened to her? I was with her that night. Did she get into an accident? Maybe I should've stayed with her longer that night. I felt a lump form in the back of my throat. I could've prevented it. If I didn't listen to that text or if I put my phone on silent or maybe even if I-

''Red?'' Green called out to me. I stopped my train of thought and looked at him. He seemed worried about me yet slightly annoyed. He looked into my eyes for a second before walking ahead. ''We have no way of finding it out now an, we better go or else we'kk be there when the shop is closed already.'' I opened my mouth slightly and then nodded. He was right, I can't do anything about it. I quickly walked up to him and turned around to look at Blue who was dumbfounded. She looked at me and ran back to us.

She sighed, ''I can't help but wonder.''
