Castiel

Castiel trudged down the crowded, teenager filled hallways tiredly. He rubbed at his eyes, attempting to wake himself up just a bit more, but failing when he still feels like he could pass out at any given moment.

As best as he could in his state, he maneuvered his way through the crowds of people and within minutes he was in front of his locker, twisting in his combination. He yawns as he shoves his overcoat into his locker.

Last night, Castiels parents had gotten into another fight. This one though, had gotten pretty loud. Castiel had been upstairs, even his bedroom door was closed but still he could hear their argument like he was in the same room. It had gone on longer than most of their arguments though, keeping him up the majority of the night in fear that something would happen. He only ended up getting about 4 hours of sleep give or take.

He was yanked from his thoughts by his bubbly red-headed best friend bouncing up next to him with a large grin spread across her cheeks. "Morning!" She chirped excitedly, her chipper mood soon seeming to disintegrate though as she noticed Castiels exhausted, zombie like, state. He tried his best to give her a smile but it must have looked more like a scowl, because her grin completely disappeared from her face only leaving an expression of both worry and curiosity. "You look exhausted. Didn't you get any sleep last night?" She asked quickly, making Castiel have to strain his hearing to be able to decipher her almost gibberish.

Castiel only waved her off, swinging his locker shut and motioning for them to begin walking down the hall to their first class of the day. Math. Worst class of the day in Cas' opinion. He doesn't feel that the things they're learning in there, anyone will ever be able to use again in their lives. It's all just useless information they're trying to shove in your brain to make life harder. But, that's school right? What can you do?

They both made their way to their seats that just so happen to be next to each other and sat down. The class was buzzing with chatting teenagers. But something seemed odd this morning. Usually the kids would be talking at the top of their voices about what they did over the weekend, or just gossiping about anything. But today, the teens talked in hushed voices while looking over their shoulder to make sure nobody is listening in on whatever they're talking about. This confused Castiel he looked over at Charlie who was doodling what looked to be Sauron from the Lord Of The Rings series. He bumped her arm with his causing her pencil fly across the page, making a long mark run through the armored Necromancer. She looked down at the page blankly, then slowly turned her head to shoot a death glare to Castiel.

"Boi, you better have a good reason for bumping me, or I'm going to cut you with the lid of a can." She glared at Cas who tried his best to keep a grin from forming on his lips. He coughed slightly and pointed around the room.

"What is everyone talking about?" Charlie flicked her long red hair over her shoulder and looked around the room, seeming to remember something because she gasped and jumped up in her seat, a huge grin plastered across her face. She leaned in closer to her best friend and whispered loudly,

"So, apparently there's a new teacher, he's suppose to be taking over for Ms. Masters," Castiels stomach fell at the mention of his favorite teacher. He had heard the rumors that she would be leaving over the past couple weeks, but always ignored them, thinking they were just gossip and nothing to be taken seriously. But apparently he was wrong. "And from what I've heard he's really hot. Like, hot enough to go straight for. I've haven't seen him yet but," She started nudging Cas with her elbow repeatedly while wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. Castiel rolled his eyes and brushed her off. Charlie is the only one Castiel has ever came out to. In fact, she helped him to figure out his sexuality. It was only last year when he started to question his sexuality, he'd started to take a likening to one of the head football jocks, Balthazar. He was really confused by the new emotions he'd been feeling, at one point he'd called Charlie in the middle of a break down because he didn't know what to do. She had of course, rushed over to his house as fast as she could with Taco Bell and ice cream. It was that night that Charlie had helped him to accept his sexuality.
